It's very satisfying in terms of cost-effectiveness. The hotel is very quiet and spacious. Even if you book the Magellan Suite, you can use all the swimming pools in the Pacific and Club. Although it was too big to see everything, the swimming pool in the Magellan alone was enough to use. The staff were all friendly and responsive to requests. Fruits such as durian and mangosteen cannot be brought in, but there were no bugs in the room, probably because they were managed thoroughly. However, when it rains heavily, it feels like the door is slightly lifted, so the sound of rain is loud. Interestingly, I couldn't hear people talking loudly, and I used it quietly and comfortably. Late check-out was possible until 1 pm for free. I was worried about what to do with my luggage because my flight was in the early morning, but luggage storage was available at the lobby entrance on the first floor. Even after check-out, you can still use the swimming pool and shower, so after checking out and storing your luggage, you can go sightseeing and use the shower in the swimming pool before finding your luggage and moving to the airport. If I go to Kota Kinabalu again, I will definitely visit again.

It’s strategically situated near Gaya Street and not far from the airport, so getting around with Grab was super easy. The resort itself has an impressive range of facilities: there’s a spa, a gym, and even a hair salon on-site, which made it convenient for a little pampering. My room was comfortable and well-maintained, though I did notice some issues due to the resort’s age. The water flow in the bathroom, both in the sink and shower, was slow, and the bathtub showed some wear and tear. The breakfast spread was a real highlight. There was a great variety of food to choose from, and they serve it for an extended time, which helped keep the breakfast crowd manageable. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor improvements needed, but the prime location and facilities are definite perks!

The view from the room is spectacular & staffs were friendly & helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Just to comment on the room which has some smell, I can't determine if it was from fresh paint or the carpet. It was kinda sour smell. Experienced the smell since I first stepped into the room & after daily cleaning of my room. Also, I left some clothes in the cupboard & only remembered about it after checking out. I called the hotel the next day after check out, but unfortunately it's not in the lost & found.
