“Worst experience ever!!! Please do not book! Not ADA compliant!”
First let me start by saying this review will be very long and it has taken me quite some time to calm down from my experience with this vacation to even give my review. If I could give no stars, I really would the only good about this trip was the location. First, my booking was very confusing with Agoda, request upon request I had to contact them for a confirmation, then when I did finally get one it was from Singapore (I'm very serious). When I called to pay for my reservation, I was on hold for 43 minutes waiting on someone to take my payment. I was transferred to (4) different people before someone took my payment (really). Then I had to request a copy of the receipt. Let me say the pictures you see online ARE NOT ACCURATE! They do not have a pool, the elevator is broken (so be prepared to walk up several flights of stairs), they claim to have a hot tub (not); It looks like it is filled with septic waste, and it is not ADA compliant at all, the units are filthy and very outdated. The cabinets in the kitchen had food on them, the dishes were not clean, and the overall room was very dusty. I do have pictures that I can share to the validity of everything I am speaking of in this review. I did have someone (Mandy) to text me (2) days prior to our leaving to ask how everything was, and of course I told her. She offered to send someone back to clean the kitchen and the dishes…no need, I just rewashed everything and wiped the entire kitchen down. The BEST PART OF ALL, is the staff; must be the worst ever. Jennifer is such a terrible representation of the "Sandpebble Beach Club Surfside Beach a Ramada by Wyndham". Please know that at this facility, they DO NOT have an agent on duty, as it specifies on their signs. You have to call another location to get any kind of help, but first you must be keen enough to look up the phone number on your phone in order to get the help. There is not a number listed anywhere...as much as I know they don't want to be bothered...keep reading below. It gets even better. We were supposed to receive a key code to get in our unit by 4PM. At 4:12PM, I called the number provided that was sent to me via text (now mind you had I not called the Wyndham Resort direct to make sure that this was a legitimate booking), they would have never had my phone number or of any way of reaching me, because this was booked through Agoda (Singapore). Once, I was able to get in touch with someone, their response was, "Oh, we were getting ready to send it", no you were not...seriously they were not! It took me calling them to put a fire underneath the staff to do their job. Then once I received the unit number, and door code it came over as a 4-digit code and then another 6-digit code that was underlined. It was a 10-digit code and a portion of the code was underlined. That was the weirdest thing I had ever seen. So, the code was very nebulous and very hard to decipher. I had to call the other location in Murrells Inlet and no one would answer the phone. It was now going to 4:30 and I'm still not able to get in my unit. I'm beginning to panic thinking, oh my gosh they have already left for the holiday (July 4th), mind you I was checking in on the 3rd of July. Again, I call and call and call. It is 103 degrees outside, I had to climb all sorts of stairs with a bad knee (currently waiting on knee replacement) and the elevator was not working, all the while continuing to call the other location to find out why my door code is not working. Finally, a nasty person named Jennifer answers the phone and is the worst customer service representative I have ever encountered. She really shouldn't be dealing with any of the public. I work in the public sector and if I ever spoke to a customer the way she spoke to me I would have been fired. If any of my staff ever speaks to anyone like that, I would immediately fire them. So, during my conversation with her, she will not listen to me when I'm speaking.
