Booked an executive 1 bed apartment but when we checked in the receptionist advised she was upgrading us to an executive 2 bed which was brilliant. The staff are all really friendly. I have stayed at many of the apartments in Manchester and this was by far the best, its very convenient for Piccadilly station and the main shopping area. We had breakfast which was really nice and very good price, a freshly made omelette with croissants for only £5.95. Will definitely return and have already recommended to friends

The staff are so friendly from the exceptional men who greet you on arrival to the staff at breakfast. Everyone is really friendly. Rooms are beautifully decorated and a fully stocked mini bar with the best complimentary biscuits we've ever had! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of city. Even though you are central you wouldn't know it as it's really quiet. Breakfast was lovely lots to choose from and the quality of the food was delicious. We will definitely be looking to book the Gotham again- this time for longer.

We were delighted with our choice for this visit to Manchester. We didnt want to stay in the centre but wanted to be within walking distance. The location is perfect. The hotel is spotless clean and bright and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist. Our room was lovely. It was bright and tastefully decorated with a free soft drink minibar provided along with robes and slippers. The hotel is located on First Street, a newly developed area with bars and restaurants and next door to Home, a theatre, restaurant & cinema complex. The are is still being developed but we are already looking forward to returning in the near future. Breakfast was good, the restaurant is bright and spacious and we didnt get that crowded breakfast room feeling. We had dinner in the hotel on the Saturday night and it was lovely. Definitely recommend this hotel.

I was visiting my sister in hospital and asked the staff for directions, transport,the costs etc, they knew everything!! After many hours at the hospital, I went back to the hotel had food and drinks which were very good quality, facilities were brilliant and a good nights sleep was had. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice! all the staff were professional, polite and made me feel welcome, they were always ready to help you and gave a 5 star service!! I will definitely stay there again! Thanks to all.

what a gorgeous hotel! You can easily get lost through the halls because it's so huge but you really wouldn't mind because the decor is amazing! We got a fantastic deal, saving a couple of hundred pounds which was fab! The staff were exceptional, we arrived early so couldn't check in yet and the lady at reception seeing we were suited and booted for a wedding offered to have our bags taken up so that we could head off. When we returned to check in (a little worse for wear) the lovely security directed us to reception, the gent on reception gave us really good (and simple) directions to our room and we felt really looked after.! Our room was beautiful, it felt really grand with an extra high ceiling and a bed which could fit me (5ft 10) and my husband (6ft5) starfishing and still room between us-and it was extremely comfortable! I don't mind that our room was on a busy road (and i could hear revellers on the friday night), as i sleep through anything but if youre a light sleeper i would recommend requesting a quieter room. we didnt get to sample the bar/restaurant which is a shame as the bar was the main reason we booked (we were just to tired to fancy a drink) but were returning in January and cannot wait! i have no idea why this isnt a 5 star hotel! it certainly felt like one.

We got a small cozy room that is very comfortable to stay in. Room is very clean too. The hotel is very near to buses (as well as the central bus station), and train stations (Liverpool lime street station that connects Liverpool to other cities in England, and Liverpool James street station) that brings you to key tourist attractions in Liverpool. If your intention is to head to Anfield, there are several buses near the hotel that brings you there (about 15mins trip). Going to John Lennon airport is easy too, as there are many straight buses from the central bus station that brings you there directly (about 45mins trip). Moreover, the hotel is already near the Liverpool ONE shopping area, the Albert dock and the Mathew street, making itself already centered in some key tourist attractions. Overall, the location of the hotel is great and is accessible to everywhere. Definitely recommended!

This hotel is so convenient walking to the city areas. It just behind lime street station. The room is not so fanastic but that the price you pay for a 3 stars hotel. The receptionists are so friendly and helpful. One of the best one her name is Lynn. She provided me alot of good info. I will definitely come back again. Super recommended for anyone who wana convenient access to the city areas.

I had to book here last minute due to my air bnb host going awol on me... ON MY BDAY! Anyway thanks goodness! It was a blessing. This aparthoted had all the same facilities if not better. Staff where friendly. We stay in the signature studio which I think is the entry level for this hotel and it was beautiful! I was able to cool everyday and enjoy a powerful shower in a big spaced bathroom. The pool had a luxurious feel to it and the jucuzzi was the hottest most relaxing one I’ve been in! (And I love a good hot tub). Also agoda saved me by being price competitive and overall it was a blessing in disguise:) Thanks all

The hotel is really hard to locate (especially if they have the neon sign off), it gets lost in a myriad of signs for restaurants and bars that share the building. But when you finally get in, you are struck by its grandeur, it is clearly a hotel that was built to be a hotel. It's not a converted house or office block. There are lots of stairs and the lifts are rather small, but there are 2 which is just enough for people and their luggage. We were allowed to leave our bags there before check-in, the staff were very helpful in this matter. However, anything more and they charge - breakfast is £10 per person and if you want to use their LAN internet they ask for a refundable deposit of £100! Our room was a decent size, but it had a noticeable damp patch on the ceiling and holes in the bedding. The bathroom was of a decent size and stocked with a nice range of complimentary toiletries. I'd certainly use this hotel again, but book through Brittania's own site because you can get it cheaper than on here.

we stayed at doubletree hilton in manchester for two nights. the hotel was clean and everyone was friendly, but for the price i would have stayed somewhere else which was closer to the city center. the location of this hotel is good if you need to be near the piccadilly station, otherwise it was a bit difficult to get to the hotel from and to other spots in the city. also, the name of this hotel used to be mint hotel, and many taxi drivers didn't know the exact location of doubletree, many of them would take me to the other hilton. i had parked my car at doubletree while staying there, the charge was gbp 15 per night. i don't know what other hotels charge for parking, but this seemed a bit high considering i am staying there. the other lots nearby offered similar rates for a more accessible lot. the breakfast at the hotel was okay at best. the spread for the buffet was very weak, and then you would have to order from the menu for the main entree. i have stayed at about 4 different hotels in manchester (4 star & 5 star) and they have always had a better breakfast. i think this hotel is great for a business traveller who needs a night stay in manchester and has to catch the train, otherwise, if your looking to enjoy as a couple or on holiday there may be better choices in manchester.

Arrived through the ?Queensway tunnel from the Wirral, and found it easily: Moorfields parking just off Dale Street to the right, and the hotel less than 5 minutes walk away off the same street to the left (North John Street). Very noisy in Reception, owing to a large group of loud ?Dutchmen who had arrived shortly before, but staff member apologised for the wait and checked us in efficiently. Room on the small side but excellently equipped. 15 minute walk to the Echo Arena (conference location) - either down Dale Street to the Liver Building and along the waterfront, or past Matthew Street (home of the Cavern Club) and through the shopping centre. Good night's sleep, followed by a very good value breakfast.

I am very, very happy with this hotel! Rebecca from the front desk was a darling! She has consistently been from check in to check out. The room was beautiful and amazing. Housekeeping did a good job at keeping the rooms clean. The hotel is perfectly located in the city center—it's close to the dock and the touristy sites, but still at a location that is quiet and not crowded. The only thing I would perhaps say is that the hotel does not have a cafe or restaurant that is able to serve proper meals all throughout. At around 10am, I went down to get a hot meal, but both the cafe and the restaurant could not serve me any. The staff was nevertheless very nice in trying to accommodate me as much as they could, and had offered to serve me food slightly earlier than the kitchen's opening time. The staff at both the cafe and the restaurant were very nice and attentive,. Overall, I had such a beautiful stay at Pullman Liverpool. I will definitely recommend this to friends.

Room was available when we arrive at 1 30pm which was a bonus. Check in was smooth and quick - reception staff friendly. Room was spacious. Huge bed and very comfortable. Room was spotless. Lovely bathroom with large shower and a separate deep bath which was so relaxing. Nice touches with free toiletries that are large sizes and absolutely lush - good quality and you are encourage to take them home. Other little extras like cotton makeup pads in bathroom are very convenient so the attention to detail is good. Comfortable min sofa is also an added bonus so your standard room feels more like a mini suite unlike many hotels that are in this price bracket. Bars and sitting area are cosy and comfy so it is a nice experience to relax there. Only point is the price of the drinks in the bar a bit on the pricey side but probably the norm with this bracket of hotel. If they were dropped a little guests would stay around the hotel on a winters night rather than trailing to town. Fab hotel.

i have stayed in hotels all over the world from us, thailand, singapore france, germany hong kong etc and this without a doubt was the best value for money than all i have stayed in. this is not to say the accommodation was of low end cheap quality it was not. all fixtures new and of decent quality. i was amazed by the size and quality of rooms and for the price. considering for half the price of a room in standard hotel here you are essentially getting a 1 bedroom apartment there is no comparison. i was also heavily impressed by the staff who were very helpful and friendly. even with silly requests at 3am.

We love the location, which is right next to Piccadilly Station. Despite its busy location, the hotel is fairly quiet most of the time, except for a few squeaky trains pulling in/out of the station, and a random crew dismantling metal barricades and loading them onto a truck at 4am. For such a central location, the room rate is surprisingly competitive, especially for our group of 6 people. Our 2-room apartment comfortably fit all 6 of us with 2 twin rooms and a living room with 2 sofa beds. Our apartment has 2 toilets and a kitchen with washing machine, oven, stove, fridge and ample cutlery and utensils. We also appreciate the free (and fairly fast) wifi. The hotel has an on-site car-park which is expensive but is very handy as our group of 6 includes 4 seniors and many luggages. The hotel gets pretty busy during morning check-in and afternoon check-in. During these times, expect queues for the reception and for the lifts.

I booked a fri-sun getaway BEFORE reading the less than favourable reviews of The Works and my heart sank at the thought of a two night stay there with every other reviewer claiming that the staff were rude, rooms not up to scratch and more alarmingly, the sheer noise level coming from the nightclubs/revellers on the street below meant guests were unable to sleep at all. This, combined with the fact that the two nights i'd booked was a surprise for my girlfriend, i was sceptical to say the least upon check in, what a disaster this might be, so much for my attempt at romance! So, we got there around 7pm, the receptionist was a little 'meh, whatever' shall we say, no ''Good evening, welcome to The Works'' etc etc. No big deal, i just wanna go to my apartment, i'm not here for chit chat. I paid my £150 damage deposit (bit unhappy about this little t&c if im honest), was given the keys to room 702 and up the lift we went, here goes. . . So into the apartment we go, and it was AMAZING! What a sigh of relief, i can be romantic after all, i pulled it off! The living room was spacious and airy with an open plan kitchen (complete with all mod-cons) adjoining. There was a balcony, double doors that opened, a flat screen TV, two two-seater sofa's and a dining table and chairs. Around the corridor/landing (whatever you wanna call it) lay a bright and clean bathroom and beyond that a big bedroom with a kingsize bed, wardrobe, bed side lamps etc etc. We were instantly impressed, ''WOW'''s left right and centre ''WE COULD TOTALLY LIVE SOMEWHERE LIKE THIS!'' thrown around, you get the picture.The location was excellent, right in the heart of the city with everything you need a few minutes away. Our only major gripe being the noise issue. 7 floors up we were fine and could hear nothing coming from the street below but the second we opened the balcony doors we suddenly couldnt hear the TV, you could hear the sound of the clubs, people shouting and a huge extractor fan going off all

We stayed in this hotel overnight having arrived late from Tel Aviv. My partner had taken ill whilst away and had to use a wheelchair which was provided by the airport. The special assistance therefore was not requested by us from the hotel in advance. We had booked a standard double. On arrival we were whisked through the check in and given a free upgrade to a junior suite. We were allowed to take the wheelchair into the suit. The manager himself helped us with the luggage. The suite was impeccable, overlooking the runway but totally quiet. Everything was in a pristine condition, clearly recently upgraded, a very comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. The service was beyond all expectations - staff was very helpful and above all kind. Breakfast was excellent. Whilst away we stayed in 5 star hotels. None of them came anywhere near this 4 star Radisson blu at Manchester airport.

I have stayed here many times and must say it is one of my favourite hotels to stay in, check in takes around a minute, It is a large hotel with easy lift access, a nice bar and pool tables. It has a gym and sauna which I don't tend to use but they are very cheap for guests. Perfect location for shopping or a 3 minute walk to the train station and main tram stops etc. I have never had a bad experience in my 5 or so stays here.

Heywood House Hotel is a good choice for people who want to stay in the City Centre of Liverpool rather than going West to the Docks. You couldn't really ask for a better location. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and well-known attractions e.g. the Cavern Club. Albert Docks is a short walk from the hotel. I had quite a big room in comparison to the price I have paid. The room is very nice and clean. The staff were really helpful throughout the stay. Given that Storm Doris hit Liverpool on the day, the staff were extremely useful for travel advice. Great stay!

I paid £30 for my room online, for which I received a room with tea and coffee making facilities, am emsuite of shower, sink and toilet, free soap, loo rolls etc, and a clean room with a telly on the wall, and a comfortable bed. I note other people's remarks about a shabby first impression, but it should be noted that the vast amount of money required to really do the place up would force the price to be significantly higher than it is, and if that happens The Merchant Hotel would lose its' niche as a cheap overnight stay and would be just another anonymous hotel in a crowded market. It's swings and roundabouts really, but the basics are all there as a cheap alternative. And the bloke on reception is really excellent.

Stay at the hotel was pleaseant experience, the staff were so polite and nice! From the day we arrived till check out we were looked after to the best level. Location of the hotel is the best of all as we get to go out and experience the best of what Lake District have to offer. Only down side what I felt was the Restaurant dinner menu, it was limited options and food wasn’t how you expect to have in a fancy place. Over all I will definitely recommend this hotel

We needed to book for a one night stay with breakfast..The Liner hotel was a recommendtion from my sister ..I cannot tell you how pleased we were with the accommodation .absolute value for money everyone was so helpful and great surroundings and rooms ...couldn't fault anything ...and just a very short walk to the station and the shops ...thankyou to the staff at the Liner Hotel for making it an enjoyable experience. The location is great. Lime Street Station is just a 5 minute walk to the north and Chinatown is a 5-10 minute walk to the south. As the hotel is along a major street, there was some noise from the traffic during the day and people shouting at night. There is a bus lane outside the hotel so we had to park along a side street one block away (next to Tesco Express). There are more parking spaces in Mount Pleasant Car Park but navigating through the car park is anything but pleasant. Reception of the hotel is tiny but the staff was fast and efficient. Our room (4 bed room) is spacious and offers good value, although my mum joked that the layout of the 4 beds look like a hospital ward. Another 2 people in our group of 6 stayed in a double room and they were not so lucky as their room was small and windowless. The 2 people ended up coming to our 4 bed room regularly to stretch their legs. There was only 1 chair in our 4 bed room so some of us had to sit on our beds and on the window sill.

I booked Hope Street Hotel for my boyfriends 30th as we were going to a music concert at the Liverpool Academy and wanted to stay somewhere close enough to walk to the venue. We know Liverpool well as we live on the Wirral and we already knew that the area would be ideal for what we needed. From the outside the hotel is very understated and you could easily walk by without even seeing it, but as soon as we were inside it felt like we were treating ourselves to a posh hotel stay. The staff immediately checked us in (even though we were a little early) and took our bags up to our room whilst I went to park the car and my boyfriend had a drink in London Carriage Works, attached to the hotel. Our room was on the 5th floor and had fantastic views across the city - the Liver buildings, Radio Tower, the Docklands and the Mersey were all in view and we watched a lovely sunset come down over the city through the huge windows. The bed was enormous and very comfortable, the bathroom was also very spacious with an amazing power shower in the corner (nice toiletries too!). I was surprised to find no hairdryer in the room, although this may have been available at reception - I had brought my own so didn't need to ask. The room had a large desk which would be great for business people, and two little armchairs for relaxing (although a mini sofa might have been nice!). The only thing I would have added to the room would be a full length mirror and perhaps one at the desk area - the only long mirror was right in the corner and too close to the bed to really be able to see yourself properly (if you need to check out your outfit, for example!) and it was a little awkward to do my make-up in the bathroom mirror as i had to lean right over the large sink to get close enough to see. Only minor issues and certainly wouldn't stop me returning.

Stayed w/e end January for a show at the Opera House. Had booked well in advance so two double internal rooms were just £120.00. Upgraded on arrival for £10 each room for rooms with a view. V spacious and comfortable. Hotel has a restaurant and 24he bar, though we doesn't use either as we ate/drank out. It's about a 10-15 Min walk to the Opera House and about another 10 mins to centre of all the action in Manchester, so a great location. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Had a car park at the back, says it's limited, but we arrived at about 1pm on Saturday and there were plenty of spaces. Costs (c) £12 overnight parking which is way cheaper than NCP. Hotel have several with NCP. If their car park is full and u park at NCP, I get a 40% discount, which we coated after discount at around £35. So still better to use the hotel parking. Overall a great w/e and would stay again. Book early, to get a great deal - we booked in June for our January stay.

We just missed our train, supposedly it just a day trip from London to Liverpool. After we missed our train, we looking for a wifi to check any available hotel through Agoda. Since this is an emergency so we decided to stay at budget hotel which average at £50 per nights. What made us shock is this such beautiful hotel just cost us at £37 only or just Rm 200 per nights. I never thought that this hotel is very cheap. Fyi, this hotel located next to Liverpool Lime St(Train Station) and located plenty of halal restaurants next to this hotel. This is a lovely hotel, we'll stay if we ever have a chance ti visit Liverpool next time.

We had an amazing one night stay here we were on the 17th floor and had a fantastic view of the city the room was clean and cosy. We checked in early and made our way into the city when back we went to the spa which was lovely not amazing or the best one I've been to but the views were great. We then headed to the executive lounge for drinks and canapés which were very disappointing everything had a fishy taste so we didn't have much. Luckily we did not pay extra for this and it was included in our stay. We shortly left and went out to Dimitri's a Greek restaurant across the road from the hotel. Highly recommend food was fab staff lovely too. After we went back to the hotel and decided to go to cloud 23 for a cocktail we had to wait 10 mins which wasn't a problem but by time we got up there there was hardly anyone there, I suppose they don't want it too crowded so people could see the amazing views of the city. We had a cocktail each really expensive for what they were but was really nice and your paying for the view. Headed back to our room and had a really nice comfy sleep. Got up in the night to find a letter under the door saying we had a guest charge not a nice surprise you want to see in the morning! So got dressed and went to speak to staff about it. Turned out it was just a mix up and that it would be wiped thank goodness! Staff were really friendly and have really good communication. Continental breakfast was included so we went and tried it. It was the worst breakfast we have ever had although scrambled eggs and sausages were tolerable. It was included with our stay so we didn't pay extra but if you have to pay for breakfast here make sure its not the continental one not worth it. Checked out easily and went to the mosi museum a short walk away as we still had an hour of parking left. We parked in the car park across the road from the Hilton as we could not find the hotel parking at all. Turned out cheaper anyway £12 for 24hrs. Overall our stay was amazing
