Decided to book a night out and looked online this hotel came up at a great price so thought we would try it. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and booked us straight in , The room was basic but had everything we needed and was very clean . We booked in for our evening meal and the service was great the staff although had a late Christmas dinner party of 45 still had time to take care of us and chat to us. The owners were very friendly and also had plenty of time to chat with us and make sure we were looked after. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was beautiful , Once again we were well looked after and nothing was too much trouble . Will certainly visit again and highly recommend to other people.

We booked here because of the reviews & although we were sceptical we were pleasantly surprised with the place. Warm, tidy & quiet is what we got. Despite the carpark being rammed the whole time we hardly heard a thing. Had a good old chuckle at how soft our twin beds were but we slept wonderfully anyway. Location, price, and ease of access were all on point. We will definitely be going back. Thanks for having us

The Campanile Northampton has become a regular place to stay for my partner and I. We’ve got to know some of the staff due to our regularity and they are excellent, always welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. They really are an excellent team. The Campanile is a fine place to stay. The hotel is always well-presented and does it’s very best to provide guests with a hospitable stay. I know that they have to contend with poor behaviour from some guests, as I’m sure is the experience of most hotels trying to run a business, but we always strive to be good guests because we appreciate what a lovely place the Campanile is. The layout of the hotel is impressive, with cleanliness, open spaces and a quality French-inspired menu. Having stayed at the Campanile in France I recognise the breakfast options as common to both, and it is a good meal. I cannot sing the praises of the staff enough. They deserve recognition, commendation, and award for their consistently high service.

Been to this hotel several times before and our usual only consideration is at times finding a good price. At £129 with no breakfast it was slightly more then I'd hoped but it's clean and we've been happy with past stays so it's prime location near the nightlife always takes us back. For those needing breakfast but find the price a little scary there is a good witherspoons pub which served up a great breakfast for the both of us for under £15. The room was a night level 10 facing the main street so traffic noise was dulled a bit. Having mentioned the room was for a birthday the hotel kinda provided a towel cake which was a nice surprise for my partner. Would always go back here above other local hotels, find a good deal using a comparison site as deals are there to be had if your happy to book the day before your stay. Booking in advance usually nets around 20% high rate in my experience.

The hotel was very acceptable. There is a restaurant on level 2 which is a bit hidden, but for 5 pounds had an excellent buffet. The rooms were clean and tidy, but internet beyond second floor is non-existent. You get a signal, but not strong enough to connect. For that you need to be in the (slightly chilly) lobby. Our television did not work, but it did not bother me enough to mention as I had a total of 5 concious minutes in the room. Too much to do outside! Biggest drawback is the hotel seems to cater to pre-wedding parties such as bachelor and bachelorette parties. As such, it was boisterous from about 6:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night. I even found someone passed out in a hallway (although when I mentioned it to security they were aghast and advised they would address the issue immediately). I would definately stay again, despite the factors mentioned above. Lots of nice pubs, etc. in the area and the main City Center is only a brisk 5 minute walk.

A super stay with very comfortable beds, crispy bedlinen and soft pillows and duvets. Newly decorated room, with very plush carpet and a modern feel. Excellent choice and quality of breakfast, with extras offered for a variety of cooked options. Staff really helpful and accommodating. Spa area a little tired in places but a lovely pool and changing rooms. Disappointed not to have access to the Thassotherapy pool without booking treatments, as I didn't have time in my stay and it was empty both times I looked (morning and evening). I'd really recommend an overnight stay here and there were lots of people on day and overnight spa breaks (but I can't comment on the value/quality of those). Overall a really impressive stay.

I booked the DeVere Orchard Hotel for the autumn University of Nottingham Open Days, unfortunately for the wrong weekend. When I tried to amend the booking on Agoda’s website, it wouldn’t let me, so I rang the hotel who tried to help. However, because the booking was through Agoda, the change would have to be done through them. I rang Agoda and although promised the booking would be changed to the correct date, 2 days later a message was left on my phone that the hotel was fully booked and no change was possible. £260 for two rooms that the hotel wanted to help change, but 2 days with Agoda trying and the date couldn’t be changed. Hotel looks fab, and I understand is fab. Agoda, really? Love the site, but buyer beware if you have a problem. FYI, we had to stay at the Marriott in Leicester. I booked directly with the hotel. Sorry Agoda!

I was staying at the St. James Hotel as a solo traveller due to a course I was attending in Nottingham. When I arrived I was really impressed on the decor of the hotel and the staff were very welcoming. I was in an executive suite and it was spotless and very comfortable. This suite could definitely accomodate 2 people comfortably. On-suite with a shower but no bath, which didn't bother me, as the room had other amenties such as kettle, coffee maker and daily supply of biscuits (which I appreciated). Only downfall, no fridge to keep drinks cool but I could cope with that. Breakfast was good when served buffet style, a bit slower when staff are serving each table, however I didn't mind the wait. The only downside was menu, the food wasn't that varied so I rarely ate in the evenings in the hotel. However, the location of the hotel was fanstastic- next door to the castle and only 10 minutes walk to the city centre - so finding food wasn't a problem. My wi-fi worked a treat (despite negative reviews regarding no wi-fi) and so I was able to work in the evenings when needed. Check-in and check out was smooth, no problems. I couldn't fault this hotel - I'm suprised it is a 3 star - and I plan to visit again for leisure as the style and location of the hotel is ideal. I would advise anyone to book here if you want a clean, nicely decorated and comfortable hotel with friendly and accomodating staff. Thank you St. James Hotel, I'll be back very soon!

We chose the hotel due to attending a wedding nearby, it was the best of an average bunch. However, the condition inside was very good, clean and tidy, the room was presented well (despite having the smallest TV known to man) but it was the staff who made the experience what it was. They were extremely courteous from our arrival to check out, namely Carol on reception. Hotels might not all be stunning but it's so often the staff who make the experience a positive one, in our case, a very enjoyable staff. Oh, and the breakfast was 10/10, well played to the chef!

I'm not pleased with this hotel. Firstly i was thinking that it is under Hilton, hence it should be better in all ways. I was wrong. The first thing is parking. There is open car park available out the hotel which has approximately 8 - 10 lots. It cost 15 pound per day on the parking, i arrived on midnight and going to leave 7 hours later, they still charge on the 15 pound. Usually hotel will provide free parking when we booked the hotel with them, i have booked other hotels during my trip, this is the only one with paying car park, quite disappointment with this hotel.

We couldn't fault the Hart's hotel and restaurant. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding amazing. The staff were friendly and obliging. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were tastefully decorated. There was a well stocked mini bar and the complimentary tea and coffee was of a superb standard, caffatier with delicious coffee and a selection of teas, with real milk in the fridge. The only negative for us would have been the price if we hadn't booked a good deal, which was originally £134:00 for a standard double, ( not our Agoda price ). Breakfast wasn't included in the price but could be purchased for £10/ head. The mini bar prices were very expensive. There was parking for a limited number of cars which incurred an extra charge of £9:95/ night. To summarise, Perfect hotel. Perfect location. Lovely staff. Quite expensive.

This hotel was a fantastic find. Great value for 2 nights including breakfast. I can't believe how quiet it was. Hardly any noise at all from outside or inside the hotel. Very pleasantly surprised. There was nothing going on at the footy stadium, or that would have been a different story I'm sure. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They booked us a taxi into town for a meal on Saturday night (Knight and Garter - highly recommend). Taxi was about £5 one way. Very good. Breakfast was plentiful and a very good selection. Both mornings we ate at 9am and there was loads of food available. Excellent. Highly recommend the hotel.

Friendly helpful staff, modern hotel with large reception/bar area ... breakfast was lovely and they cook particular requests. Rooms lovely and clean, perfect size for a night away neither small nor huge with all needed facilities - hairdryer, ironing board, tea coffee etc ... large and plentiful pillows and towels. Best thing is the hotels location ... we ate at restaurants, went to bars and clubs, visited the cathedral, Richard 3rd museum and shopping on the high street and markets and experienced an escape room and never needed a taxi once! Perfect location in the centre of Leicester. Thanks Ramada Encore, we will be back 😊👍

The hotel staff are welcoming and friendly,The hotel from the front and surrounding area is clean and tidy.The bar area is very nice,relaxing and reasonably priced for drinksThe bar staff are excellent ,However tHe outside area to the bar was full of empty plates on some tablesThe actual carpets to our room looked tired with flecks of paint on .The room looked a little tied , but for the price would not complain .Overall a very nice place(Hotel)but could do with abit of TLC

Okay. Bathroom and plumbing needs sorting out. Shower had no power and was impossible to control the temperature. The water didn't drain well from the shower or the sink. The air conditioning was so noisy that it couldn't be left on at night even though the weather was very humid. On the breakfast buffet there is a disgusting looking vat of fat in which they cook the eggs - that really should be removed. No-one asked me if I wanted tea or coffee and I only managed to catch the eye of one of the staff to request coffee once I had nearly finished eating. The hotel is on an island in the middle of major roads into and out of Leicester with lots of building and road works going on. I arrived on foot (having missed the car park entrance) and found it difficult to get across to it as the only pavement on the island was cordoned off. The only way in as a pedestrian is through the back gate of the NCP car park so not the best intro to a hotel. That's the complaints - on the plus side nice big, clean room and bed, staff pleasant and very centrally located so you can walk to the Cathedral, mediaeval Guildhall, the River Soar and gardens, De Montfort university and the pedestrian shopping centre.

The hotel is grand and has the creeks and decor which fits a building built in the 1800's. The spa was fine however do not expect a Total Fitness. The spa was fine but flattered by the brochure. The brekfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel in England if not the best. The staff are friendly and the room was large, with a big telivision. Already looking to go back with the kids as there is lots to do in Matlock and Buxton.

This is a fairly new hotel in Lincoln, situated on Brayford Marina and it is a credit to the Doubletree brand. We had a king size room, and everything about the stay was luxurious, particularly when you consider this hotel is away from the bigger cities. Carpets when you walk the hallway are thick and lush, beds are comfortable with lovely mattress toppers and quality bedding. Facilities include an in-room safe, tea and coffee making facilities (with quality biscuits)and bar glasses (no fridge) and drinks fixings. Bathroom toiletries are Crabtree and Evelyn and are replaced daily (I hate it when hotels don't do that when we pay by the night). Internet access is free (take note other local hotels) and there are stylish Apple PCs in the lobby. The real star of the hotel is the Electric Bar with views of the marina and top class (albeit pricey) cocktails. The restaurant (where breakfast is also served) shares good views of the surrounding area, including the cathedral. Breakfast had a great selection, with a full English, cereals, toast and pastries, yogurt and fruit etc. Really sets you up for the day. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. I love it and will go back.

Stayed 10 nights here whilst visiting family. Room was a good standard, and overall service was very good. Breakfast buffet was excellent and staff were happy to provide vegetarian and dairy free options on request. The hotel provided everything we needed for an enjoyable stay, and convenient to town. Bar restaurant prices in tthe high side, although food was to a good standard and consistent.

Came to visit Nottingham for 1 day hence I decided to book this hotel, It's about 10 minute walk to the train station, very easy to find and easy to walk to. Tesco Express is just downstairs. Plenty of nice cafe just down the road and the city centre is just a 5 minute walk away. There's also a tram and bus station just downstairs. Best part is that you can call for a taxi at the reception by just pressing on the button and it was reasonably price. No regrets, will definitely come back to stay.

This was my first stay at the ibis in Wellingborough. I found the hotel easily with the directions i got from the web site. The hotel presents itself well with a smart appearance and ample car parking. It has a pub-restaraunt across the road and if you have kids there is a McDonalds next door. The reception was staffed by two smiling ladies and the check in process was quick and easy. My room was clean, and smart and the toilet shower area was sparkling. The pressure in the shower was ample to provide a good shower. The room's facilities were all in good condition with wi-fi hook up, on demand in house films and all the usual channels as well as a selection of radio channels. I found the bed to be of a good size and comfortable. I would stay again without hesitation.

I have been there with my 2 Kids for 9 days. We ordered the room for 3 persons and when we check in they were really "surprised" that I arrived with two Kids. We got a Family room but this was a small one. We were not able to unpack our entire luggage. We also had problems with the door lock. As we told it to the woman at the front desk on first day the answer was “it is all fine with our door locks but I will leave a message”. On the last day the woman at the front desk (another one) was really surprised to hear, she did not know about this problem. It was not a good feeling leaving the hotel in the morning and thinking of “hopefully is the door locked when we arrive in the evening”. I checked the lock twice but I knew that they clean the room when we are away and then the door was not checked. The breakfast was quiet good and most of the staff was really nice and helpful. I do not recommend it for family trips. The rooms are really too small for that.

Good B&B as there was no meals available. No air con and mattress was value product. The room we had also was as very small.The plus points is that hotel is not too far from nearest town (5 miles away). A good base to work from. Clean & tidy and good cooked breakfast. Staff also very good. For price and value- 5 Stars. Couple staying 2 nights 27th/28th June 2015.

Just came for a night getaway with my young son. Room was clean and modern and had everything we needed in there. However, the tv wasn't in the best position or if that's the only position for it then it could be made slightly bigger. Staff were amazing with my son. Even assisted us at 2am when he had an accident in bed. Bowling was abit dear and kept having technical faults but was still great to have at the hotel and the leisure facilities were great. Cooked buffet beakfast was delicious. Was also plenty of continental options including a pancake maker which my son loved!

I had a one overnight stay. Overall it was a good experience. The staff were generally helpful and accommodating. Two observations: I rang down to book early dinner, informed restaurant was full. Met friends and had just ordered bar food in the foyer to be informed that places were available in the restaurant. I had paid for dinner bed and breakfast. Following morning a visiting friend asked for me by name at reception, as we had arranged to meet there, he travelled from Manchester. He was informed I was not staying there. My phone in my room. So he waited 45 minutes in reception. By chance I walked by.

I stayed here with my mum and daughter the evening before her graduation at Derby arena, which was only a 10 minute drive away. My daughter stayed in the main building, which is a lovely Georgian building, however my mum and I stayed in the cottage (annex building). This was very basic with no wardrobe to hang out clothes, the kettle was missing and also teaspoons. We notified reception and this was shortly rectified. We spent a pleasant evening in the bar, and slept well in very comfy beds. The dining room was very pleasant, as was the chef, who delivered a decent breakfast. We all agreed we would stay here again. It has a lovely friendly atmosphere with great staff.
