They hotel was ok. For the prices in Rome was inside the standard. It was meant to be a 4 starts but it does not have a toothbrush or any other amenity but two tiny small bottle of bodygel. The worse was that the room was cold and that the aircon was TOO noisy, also NO international TV just Italian. The best, breakfast!!! Lovely staff preparing all for you. In general the staff was kind. The room very well furnished. I like the hotel even after the problem with the aircon.

Hotel Villa Pirandello was fabulous. Only two metro stops away from the city center and also very convenient by bus, it was nice to get away from the hectic pace at the end of the day. The staff was beyond fabulous and the breakfast was great It included a ton of options (although no eggs) mainly centered around sweet pastries, which apparently is a very Italian breakfast. But there were also options for meat and cheese, several different juices and coffee and water The staff never had a problem with any requests during breakfast or at any other time when we needed help and will even help negotiate a taxi ride so you will get the right price. The rooms with the terrace was absolutely fantastic as it can cost a fortune to have that amenity in Rome city center. The shower always had hot water and good water pressure and bathroom amenities included shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, q-tips etc (no conditioner and I believe no lotion). The bed was not the most comfortable we slept on while in Europe but also not the least comfortable, so I would rate it as decent. The rooms were cleaned well everyday and we never had any problems with noise or privacy. This is not a luxury hotel but has real charm and is a great value for your money considering what you do get. I can't say enough for the staff, they were awesome.

The hotel is located 2,5 km from Piazza di Spagna - 35 min. walk. The cost of the taxi is appr. 8€. We 've booked our double bed & breakfast room at 100€ + 6€ taxes and in the same time all the similar hotel rooms in the historical center were at 150-160€. So we decide that it was better to stay at Albani and pay a taxi even twice a day. The rooms were very clean and very spacious - especially the bathroom - and believe me, this is a very rare thing in Rome. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, the bed was very comfortable, the wi-fi was free! I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a spacious cornor room on the 4th floor which actually can accomodate up to 3 pax, ask if room 412 is available. Typically, rooms tend to be rather small in Rome. This hotel fully lives up to its international standards, is clean and safe. Best experience was at check in when the staff explained us how to best reach the most popular sights and handed over some local tips for dining to aviod the large tourist crowds. The hotel is a 5 min walk from Piazza Bologna from where the subway goes towards central railway station Termini. There is also bus number 62 which takes one directly to Barbarini for shopping at Via del Corso and the Trevi fountain. This bus runs all the way to Castel del Angelo and stops right next to the Vatican.

We made our reservation with Agoda (prepaid) almost 4 weeks prior to arriving. When we arrived late at night we were advised that they didn't have our reservation, we were put in a hotel next door (Carlo Magno Hotel)this hotel was quite old & number 664 on tripadvisor not the 304 of the Best Western I had booked & extensively reviewed - & booked because of those reviews & it was a modern hotel. (they did include breakfast) The following morning the BW manager advised he could remove another guest to find room for us or if we considered staying at the Carlo Magno for a second night he would upgrade us to a junior suite with free breakfast for our last night (this was the only night they were not fully booked)he did apologise & admitted it was their error. I would double check they have your booking before arriving if you plan on staying at this hotel

The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Our reservation was mixed up and when we arrived the staff made sure to accommodate us as much as they could. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of fresh and cooked food. It was fresh and changed a bit daily. The walls are thin and we heard our neighbors throughout our stay, but it was not an inconvenience for us. The location is a bit out of the center, but there is a direct bus line close to the hotel that drops you to the center in 10 minutes. Great hotel!

We chanced upon this accommodation and are very pleased with our stay. Firstly, the staff were simply fantastic. They were professional, yet personable. They were pleasant and engaging, helping us to book restaurants and taxis and gave us valuable advice. The room was clean, spacious, functional, modern and comfortable. The included breakfast was continental but the spread was sufficient for us. Every morning, we were welcomed by a very pleasant breakfast lady. When we needed to check-in and print our boarding passes, we were given access at no charge to a computer and printer. Although the location was away from the main tourist hotels, once we learnt how to use the bus60 and the nearby Metro, access was easy. I would gladly recommend this accommodation.

Our stay at MF Hotel was decent, considering most of our time is spent exploring the city. It is quite inconspicuous from the outside. Not your regular "hotel", as it is on the 3rd floor of an apartment building. The elevator is old and rickety. Not for the faint of heart. The reception desk was situated just opposite our room, so felt that privacy was a little lacking. Nonetheless the staff are extremely friendly and will provide many tips to your sightseeing questions. Room was clean and of an OK size. Only thing to complain about was the faint smell of toilet/sewer water from the bathroom pipes. Breakfast was served in your room. It was Italian style and I felt it was everything I needed, although some may require foods more substantial in the morning. It was walking distance to the metro that took you to many sights quickly. Major plus is that it is in a quiet neighborhood of Rome.

We were looking for a comfortable hotel in this area of Rome to make our family visit possible. Well, we have found our place to be! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Since the hotel is located in a side street, you do not hear much noise from outside. Thus you can relax completely after a day full of impressions of Roma. The metro is just a few minutes walking and brings you down town Roma at almost every hour of the day/late night. A very good price/quality ratio and for sure a recommendation to others.

We did enjoy staying here, although the location is a little way out, there are trains and busses and a free shuttle, (only 3 early and 3 later) to the metro. because of the location we chose to eat in at the restaurant was ok but not outstanding, the room was quite nice and spacious good bed and bathroom. Staff all very helpful although I did loose 20 or 30 dollars left on my bedside table, front desk staff were horrified, a great stay in Rome.

We stayed there in Oct 2018. The location is pretty good. Just 10 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain and the area around it which is nice. I had multiple issues with the property and its staff. 1 ) The shower drain was clogged and the shower itself was loose and broken. I notified the onsite staff. He tried to unclog it with no success and he said that no plumber would come to fix it on Sunday. I am not sure, why they did not fix it prior to our arrival if they knew, they could not find anyone over the weekend! We stayed two nights over there and it was very inconvenience 2 ) The picture on the site is their biggest room. The one, we got had a window facing a back room of the restaurant which was noisy. The window did not have any net and i was dealing with bugs all night. 3) The staff has a number for emergency, which they are not responding too. I asked them to clean the room and I got no response. He told me that they wont clean the room after 10 am at the time of check-out.

This is a great place, hidden in Rome away from the civic center, but an easy walk to the train station where you can get a fast metro (B Line) to all of the Rome hot spots. Beautifully decorated, includes delivered breakfast, security shutters, WiFi, TV, AC, mini-fridge. Has in-room safe but was not open during my stay. Handy grocery store one block down. Nice bathroom appointments. Water pressure very low (not the fault of the owners, but be aware.) Owner was great, very responsive, helpful. Great bargain! Hint: Google Maps has NO idea how to find this! It's about 2 blocks from the Termini Train Station; just take the B Metro to Termini. Google Maps will drop you at a bus depot about 2 miles away!

I stayed at Dulcis before and totally loved it, this time nI came and there have totally been misleading me. I booked this place to be able to sit outside on their terrace which were on the pictures on the booking. When I arrive and ask about the terrace I get the info that it's closed coz they renovate. So disappointed about them misleading me and NO help at all. No one even tried to in any way help or in some way make it up to me. Super dissapointed and will not stay there again!

Our flight was late by 45 mins and therefore we arrived at 12:30 am. For that reason they cancelled our original booking and made us pay again. They state policy but it does not specify on Agoda’s page anything about these details. You can hear through the paper thin walls everything the neigbors are saying so almost no privacy. The shower pan kept getting clogged up as soon as we took a shower (draining problem). Also when neigbors above would flush their toilet we could hear our toilet reacting as well which was really annoying. I do not recommend this hotel at all, STAY AWAY! If i would have known their stupid policy I would have invested that extra money into a much better hotel. This proves their carelessness for their guests and make them unaccomodating to possible problems for tourists. ‘Our flight was late’ we told them and they responded by saying that it’s not their problem! Well, that was our first impression of Rome so great job at making us feel welcome...

This guesthouse is a great place to stay whilst in Rome, and I would certainly recommend it. It is extremely close to the metro stop (Tiburtina) on line B, and the main Tiburtina rail station, which turned out to be really convenient as we headed to Florence after Rome and the train left from this station. It definitely does not take 30 minutes to get to the central/historic centre as previously mentioned in another review, the metro trains are very frequent and it takes about 10 minutes. (Bear in mind it gets very busy on the metro at peak hour returning though, which is totally normal for any city with tourists). Location also seems very safe, and the guesthouse very secure, you actually come through 3x locked doors before getting upstairs to the reception area. The accommodation is very spacious, clean and well maintained, we took the option of the cheaper room with shared bathroom, which was fine, as we were up early and out into the sights around Rome. The room was also made up/cleaned daily. Only thing worth mentioning was that my partner prefers a hot shower, and the water was not always hot. I guess this comes down to usage, as a lot of the rooms have en suites, and allowing the water system to heat up again, so nothing really to complain about. The room had a mini bar/fridge which was also really useful, as we used it for storing/cooling some snacks after a long day of sight seeing and we would sometimes sit back in the room and relax. We would definitely stay here again, as it was pretty much hotel standard, without the price tag of the central hotels. We also found that the price was the same pretty much as staying In a centrally located hostel, which shows up hostels in my mind. Thanks again for making our stay in Rome a magnificent one, this guesthouse is a gem of a place, and we were sceptical when we saw there was not any recent reviews. But we are so happy we stayed here!

This apartment is located in a mixed use building (as in the apartments are located on one floor, the other floor are occupies by other businesses &/or residents), <5 min walk from Bologna Metro. A supermarket is located in the next building. The elevator is the old fashioned type where you have to to manually open / close 2 sets of doors to operate. And you do have to remember to close the doors after exiting otherwise people on other floors cannot use the elevator! Still an elevator is better than no elevator. You are given 4 keys to unlock a gate, the building door, the common door to 4 apartments managed by the same proprietor, & finally your own apartment door. These set of keys you have to carry around with you otherwise you cannot get in after office hours. The rooms (there are only 4) are generally small & dingy. The bed (for the single room) is a narrow single bed, not twin or double. There is a fridge, air-conditioning, & a small dining table with a grimy plastic sheet on which you take your breakfast every morning. The water, even boiled, from the taps at this place tastes rather metallic - don't know whether it is plumbing related. Note that one of the rooms has an exterior (non-attached) bathroom - this is clearly stated on the booking page so beware if you are particular. I think the prices for the rooms with attached bathroom & non-attached bathroom are roughly similar. The walls of the apartment are paper thin, so you can hear your neighbours opening & shutting the door, etc. The single room I stayed in was next to the exterior bathroom, so it was particularly annoying when the guests next door used their bathroom. Breakfast was standard fare - croissant, juice/ coffee. Not very filling, but that seems to be standard for B&Bs in Rome. The proprietor is friendly & would do her best to cater to your needs, but she speaks little English, so you might have difficulty communicating. For the price I paid, I would choose the B&B Il Viandante Romano
