Minh An hotels & places to stay

we were recommended to stay here by someone we met in Ho Chi Minh who only had great things to say about the place. the perfect way to describe this hotel is that it is a 'boutique resort'. this hotel is the perfect place to stay no matter what your budget is or whether your travelling by as a couple, family or group. the staff were terrific and the free breakfast was better than any of the other hotels we stayed in while travelling through vietnam. personally the location of this hotel is perfect as its only a short walk to the central part of Hoi An, but far enough and tucked away so that you are hidden away from the noise. even better was the ability to hire bicycles and motorised scooters directly opposite the hotel for a very low cost. I think you would be silly to stay anywhere else but here.

I recently spent 2 nights here and the way I was treated by the staff, from the very beginning of my stay until my departure was nothing short of fantastic. Although I had arrived early in the morning, the reservations staff changed my original room so I was able to check in immediately. Quite the contrary to similar experiences I have had elsewhere. The Hotel is in an excellent location and only a short walk to the 'ancient town'. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to and from An Bang beach 3 times a day and also provides you with a beach towel. The rooms are small to medium size and are well laid out. I had a great view of the river from my balcony. The rooms are actually quite funky with the brass rotary telephone an shower fittings, certainly makes the room a little different from the norm! The buffet breakfast has a good variety of choices with a chef manning the 'egg station'. What really illustrated the professionalism/caring nature of the staff was I had to wait for my breakfast one morning, maybe 10 minutes. After providing feedback to one of the reservation staff, I had virtually all of the front desk staff, including the manager thanking me for raising the issue and assuring that the matter had already been resolved. All in all a great little boutique hotel with a homely feel to it and I would recommend it if you are visiting Hoi An. To Brian, Sally and Melissa, keep up the great work.

I would say the stay at Little Hoi An was one of the best throughout our whole Vietnam trip, well maybe even better than any we had in Singapore. They had the best customer service, which me and my bf were really happy with. We were greeted with smiles and lots of useful information when we first checked in. All the staffs were really friendly and smiley, especially Hienn and Susan. The both of them were really helpful and went the extra miles to answer all of our needs, that really brightened our 3 nights stay there :) We had the deluxe room, though the view ain't that good, we thought that the room has a simple yet elegant decor. We were so satisfied with the room that we actually extended one more night to stay in Hoi An. The breakfast spread is not that large but definitely sufficient and really delicious. There's always staffs around to serve either bread, vietnamese crepe or iced coffee. Once again, we were overwhelmed by the awesome service rendered, really way better than what a typical 4 star hotel will offer. Lastly, the location is really awesome we thought, as we can always spend the evening walking from the romantic ancient town to our hotel. We enjoyed being near the locals, and yet able to enjoy the quiet moments with each other. Definitely going back to this hotel if we visit Hoi An in the future. Highly recommended!

would like to thanks all the staff for their kind attention, restaurant, housekeeping, front desk and specially Ms Hoa who was very helpful and had managed well to change the date of our flight ticket. In fact i have booked and paid on Agoda a room for 8 days, but the day after our arrival, while trying to carry my baby i was stuck because of a back pain, and we have to return urgently to Ho Chi Minh to see a specialist, again all staff were very helpful. At that time, i have asked to the front desk staff if it was possible to be reimbursed but without any hope as everything was already paid, and staff have told me to check myself with Agoda, but on my Agoda account it was written and clear that it wont be possible. At that time, one Front desk staff had asked for my email address and said that the resort will check with Agoda, again, for me the money was lost, but few days later Agoda had contacted me and reimburse half of the amount which is much more that fare. I would like to take this opportunity to thanks The Resort Management and also Agoda both for the professional way they have handled this case. About the resort, our room was a Superior Garden view, the room is very spacious and comfortable with a small salon, large bed and also a baby bed, nice swimming pool, garden in front of the river with a free local food testing, huge buffet breakfast with Asian and European food and again nice staff, and the resort is quiet and close to the center of Hoi An, I recommend this resort and will definitely returned as i am working in Vietnam.

Our stay at the Green Heaven was just lovely, a wonderful haven after hustle & bustle of Ho Chi Minh. Loved the location, perfect for ambling into old town in the evening along lantern-lit streets. Bike hire close by made exploring town and beach easy. Hotel spa staff were lovely and attentive, thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary foot massages! Also took advantage of on-site tailor to purchase a couple of custom made outfits, again appreciated helpful, and sweet staff. Highly recommend this place!

me and my wife are active hashers and great travellers. we have been travelling on a frequent basis to see different cultures,peoples, tribes and visited many countries.we have experienced stayng in 1 star up to 5star hotels but ving hung 1 hotel in hoi an vietnam is worth commenting.inspite of being a very old hotel with only 6 rooms all structures,flooring,walling,furnitures ect, were all constructed of mahagony timber which can be considered antique, they are well maintained,clean and room interior are real cosy. the few staffs are friendly and their ever willing to smile when we talk to them are an asset to the hotel.when asked where is the best place to eat cao lau and fried hoanh thanh[wonton]the staff without hesitation told us the shop and drew us the locality map direction.breakfast was satisfactory.we strongly this hotel to those who want to experience the hotel ambience with a difference.

Jasmine checked us in to the hotel, and she was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay! It was a pleasure meeting her, and she helped recommend a good, reasonably priced way to visit My Son during our time in Hoi An. The hotel was beautiful and the rooftop pool had a great view of Old Town! The night market was a 2-3 minute walk away. Taxis had a very hard time getting to or from the front door. You will have to walk beyond Old Town if you want a taxi at night, and even then it was hard to get one. Best to just stick to things within walking distance.

Homestay is located on a quiet street not far from the night market and the rest of the old town. Very convenient for walking around. There’s bikes available for rent but we didn’t have time to try them. The host is sweet and hospitable. Her English isn’t great, but we didn’t have any issue communicating when we needed to. She booked us a private car to Da Nang for 250k VND and the driver was professional and courteous. Breakfast is basic and pretty standard for what you’d expect in Vietnam. Nothing special but not bad. The room is very spacious, comfortable, and clean. There was a good sized balcony with 2 chairs and a good view of the surrounding neighbourhood. We got a killer sunset our 1 night there. Good functioning AC and fan. TV with plenty of English channels. There was an open wardrobe with hangers. Two good lounging chairs and a tiny desk/vanity thing. At least 2 bedside tables between the very comfortable beds. Bathroom had a completely separate shower. Shower was a rain shower head. Good temperature control and pressure. Lots of towels and toiletries provided. Host did insist on holding the key when you left. Not a huge deal but not something I love doing. Overall, we had a very comfortable one night stay, and out of the 3 homestays we stayed in over 5 nights in Hoi An, this would be the one I would return to first.

This is quite a story: I booked a dormitory room at a hotel upon arrival in Hoi An. When I arrived the reception yesterday, I asked them what bed number am I assigned? And she said no you are the only one in the room but I said I took a shared room online. Then she insisted that I have like a standard room. So I thought I was moved to another room. Then had some biking around the city and decided to back in the hotel for breakfast. The staff approached me and said "I need to tell you about your booking" then I stopped her because I don't wanna be disturbed in my eating. I said can you let me finish first? I'll talk to you later after I'm done with my breakfast. After that I went to reception and said what was that again about my reservation? The lady said I was in the wrong room. At first, I knew that it was gonna be a dispute. Then I was thinking if I'm going to fire-up or taking it calm. Then, politely I explained everything what happened yesterday. I was so impressed with reception for admitting their fault. She said it was not my fault and whether I pay it or not it is okay. It is just happened that I have no extra budget left and later I'll be traveling down south to Da Lat and back to Saigon in few days. I highly recommend this Golden River Hotel to everyone. The staff were great and the room is complete and comfortable. Plus I admire the value for customer service. Sometimes life is like a mirror what you showed to others will reflect back to you, so keep calm and drink Viet coffee (with ice and milk please!) 😉 Highly recommended to everyone visiting Hoi An.❤️

5 nights in January 2019. At his is a lovely hotel in a Great location. I was a little apprehensive when the manager couple had to leave because Loan was to deliver her 1st child, a girl it turns out. The other staff led by Me Minh just did a superb job. I especially liked using their bicycles for rides to the other islands, this was wonderful biking and walking area. My room, 202, had a small but very nice balcony.

A lovely Homestay very centrally located, only 2 minutes walk from the Japanese bridge and the river and literally just around the corner from the night market. They were so helpful booking transfers for us, a trip to my son by bus and boat and they provided a great laundry service. On the last day we had to leave before breakfast time to catch a flight and they gave us banh mi and fruit to take away, which was lovely. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights and changed our trip to extend for another night. If you're looking for a place in beautiful hoi an, definitely go with The Corner Homestay

one of my colleagues and i decided to escape the chaos of hcmc for the weekend and decided to head to hoi an for the weekend. this was a last minute trip and i had heard about this hotel from a friend who had stayed here with his girlfriend. they both loved the hotel and when we arrived we were not disappointed. we had arranged for transport from them the airport and the trip from the airport to the hotel went very smoothly. the staff were very courteous. we loved the room we had on the ground floor next to the pool. the room was a great size for the price and was very clean. the bathroom was also much larger than most hotels. i loved that the room had a divider in the middle. my friend is an early riser and the room worked out perfectly as she was able to get up early in the morning and fool around on the computer and drink tea, while i slept. we also enjoyed the breakfast that was served on the first floor with a view of the river. this hotel is located right across from the famous japanese bridge and in a quiet section of the city. it is 5-7 minute drive into the center of town, but that was fine with us, as we were happy to ride the bicycles that the hotel provides. we had all ready booked another more expensive hotel for the three other days that we stayed in hoi an (before we booked this hotel), but if i were to go back to hoi an, i would definitely stay here again.

I loved the Pho Hoi 1 hotel. For $15 I had a spacious sunny room with windows looking out over my balcony to a lovely old , quiet lane. The room was clean, spacious, simply furnished and comfortable. The staff were so kind and helpful. Each night they brought me a flask of hot water so that I could make tea [you need to request this though]. The hotel is in the perfect location, just steps from the ancient town. There's no breakfast at the hotel, but I went to the Hoi An Roastery Coffee House around the corner and down a bit, at 135 Tran Phu Street for perfect coffee and pastries in a very cool setting. The hotel is also very quiet at night, so there's no problem with sleeping. Ming and the rest of the staff booked my tours at very fair prices. I will absolutely stay here again - it's simple but a really nice base for exploring Hoi An ancient town and the tons of great cafes there, as well as the ancient temple complex of 'My Son', and it's only 10 minutes by motorbike taxi to the beach.

It was the best choice. I had to keep my luggage and shower before going to the airport, so I stayed here for one night. My choice was the best. I wanted to sleep a night, but I had to go on an airplane. The master was so kind. Rooms, toilets, shower facilities, and air conditioning were the best. It was good to go to night market because it was close to Hoian Yashijang. I would like to recommend to those who stay overnight in Hoian.

Just off the main road, this hotel is literature right in the centre of Hoi An. All the main attractions, including the tailor shops, are within a 10 min bicycle ride from this hotel. The daytime male receptionist (Crazy is his nickname) is a cool bloke with a dry sense of humour. He looked after me for the two nights I was there. The night shift receptionist doesn't have the best English, but if you're a football fan he doesn't mind watching a bit of Champions League with you. For free breakfast, you have to get to Thanh Binh 3 Hotel, which is bit of a stroll (especially if you've had a bit to drink). That said, the breakfast there is quite a spread - bacon, omelette, jam, croissants, etc. Best free breakfast I had in Vietnam. The room was decent. For the price, I was happy with it. Hot water was spot on, the bed was comfortable, and the TV has 50 channels of Vietnamese-dubbed Korean soap for those so inclined. But seriously, the shower is separated from the toilet, and that's something an elitist Westerner like myself really appreciated. Overall, good price, super location, friendly receptionists, and a comfortable stay.

The family who runs this homestay really made the experience. They are kind, helpful, eager to get to know you, and try to find you the best price on tours. It was refreshing to stay in a small place where people care, as opposed to most places in Hoi An that have terrible service. The home-cooked food is awesome, especially the Cao Lau, a Hoi An specialty. The room was small and basic but kept clean. I'd recommend this homestay over the other hotels which are not a good value. For the central location and the wonderful service, Nha Lan is a great option.

I have no words for how welcome I felt at this cozy homestay. Tri and his family are just amazing, as lovely as people can be. Tri himself has been trained in three- and four-star hotels before he opened the homestay, so he really knows what he's up to. Plus we got tips for our Hoi An visit, free use of bicicles, great Vietnamese coffee,... Before we left Tri even let us use their family bathroom to take a shower for the trip. Thanks for an amazing time!

This is a gem of a home stay to find within walking and/or cycling distance of the night market and the Ancient Town. I struggle with a home stay compared with a hotel in that the staff are either local people and/or of family with not necessarily any training in hospitality per se so there is no overall uniformity of service eg. 'doing a job' through to an experienced staff member; little English through to excellent conversational English; some breakfast menus with additions added in handwriting while others remain the same with not enough English to communicate what you want from yesterdays menu! Because breakfast is the delight of starting my day as a tourist, it may be preferable to write the breakfast menu with options from different categories instead of only being able to make an order once and then no further table service so I don't eat you out of house and home'! If there are continuing electricity outages in Hoi An a generator may need to be purchased?! It's time to check under the beds Ng -you may be surprised by what you may find! Alas, the bases of the beds are so heavy and do not allow for ease of cleaning -a common problem in hotels. A common issue in that the fridge power source is connected to the room key so the tray under the freezer is either awash with water or frozen! Have the aircon machines been checked for efficiency of output as a tourist from a colder climate relies on relief from the heat after being outside? The 'small one'! and younger brother inherently knows about being of service to guests, so please consider 'investing' in his potential for the business and pay for him to go to the Apollo English Centre where he can learn from native English speakers and be a continued asset for the future of the home stay. I hope Han Huyen will have me back! I have recommended to my friend travelling the world. Michael O

Softest bed so far in Vietnam, close to everything. Breakfast for a fee but get local food in restaurants that specialize in local HoiAn specialties close to DaNang and the Marble Mountains. Hardly anyone speaks English so download an app to communicate. Friendly staff, only room we stayed in that has power on when you leave the hotel...great for recharging power banks...great value for money being so close to the old quarter.

Stayed during the Tet Festival (new year) and felled very welcome. Such nice people! Great breakfast, nice and clean room, good location in more quiet area but literally only 2 minutes from central Hoi An. Only minus was the cold shower, with no hot water - good thing it was so warm when we stayed there. They have bikes you can use for free, which is very nice. They also helped arrange transport to Da Nang for us. Would stay again!

The location was great since it was located inside the Ancient Town & took less than 1 min to Hoi An night market. The front street was not crowded, but quite peaceful so you won't find yourself stuck in noise at late night. Host was super supportive with lots of useful information about food & activities here. She also let me use the bike for free. I had a great time at Bong's house!
