RENOVATION---YIKES!!! BUT.....”
I had no idea they were renovating the 4th floor which included a kids pool and kids club. I was told it was mentioned via booking but I did not receive any message. Then again I booked the room like 6 to 7months ago. We were here last year but renovation was limited to the lobby. I mentioned this to the manager whom was nice at first but kept repeating sorry but we mentioned renovation on the website. I didn't think it was a fair solution and I felt so bad for my two kids. They are the reasons why they wanted to return to this place. They kept saying kids pool and kids club. Plus the breakfast and hotel were super clean. Somehow the manager was busy with another client which was a good thing because I was shocked by her dismissive attitude. The other woman who took over was more professional and displayed a great deal of empathy knowing my kids would be stuck at the adult pool at the second building. Her replies felt genuine and apologetic. She offered us an upgrade but we didn't care as i knew my kids would be disappointed. Nevertheless i felt she went out of her way to genuinely apologize and even gave a stuffed dolphin each to both of my kids. So we were very much impressed. I wish to know the name of this person because she is someone you would benefit from running your hotel. In the meantime we tried to make the best of the situation during our 6 nights. They also helped us out as well. Many of the staff members were amazing and helpful. The housekeepers were honest respectful and sweet. Now would I return there.....yes I would when the renovation is done. We have been here three different times and we always feel sad leaving this place. Looking forward to seeing you again next year when your renovation is done. Hopefully we will be there. Ps the road in the area which is also going through renovation is quite unsafe as one of my kids fell out of his stroller. Please be aware of this.

Confusing but great stay”
Confusing because I dont think Agoda/Holiday Inn was clear with its packages. We didn't realize it had 2 buildings. So we asked to stay at the main building as it had kids club and pool. They said yes but we would have to pay for the upgrade. That was disappointing as accommodating a family could go a long way. Not trying to sound entitled but we didnt realize it was two buildings. So it was a bit of a inconvenient to walk back and forth to the kids pool. HOWEVER the second building was pretty nice. It also had a beautiful pool but none for kiddie. And the kid s club was closed. So that was disappointing. So keep in mind when booking this place especially when you have kids. The other issue is we chose breakfast and dinner inclusive. We thought buffet for both. Nope. For breakfast...yes. for dinner, we had to go to a restaurant associated with the hotel. No problem. We received our menu and we were confused. We could only choose certain food. No beverages nor water was included? SERIOUSLY? PLus no food for my two toddlers unless we paid for it. I just wish agoda and holiday inn would clarify this before guests want to stay here. Fortunately they made an exception for our toddlers where they can choose from a kids menu. So it ended up pretty good but this is not the best way to enjoy a relaxing meal. Despite the confusion, my kids love the kids club. Staff members were great. The kids water slide is not bad but maybe add another one for younger toddlers. The view from the pools were gorgeous at both buildings. Breakfast buffet has lots of options. Not amazing but not bad. Just in between. One thing I find it sad is that they as well as other hotels dont offer a wide selection of QUALITY tasting thai dishes. I find it shocking because thai dishes are incredible and delicious. Instead it caters to caucasian guests. There is a section for korean and very small one for vegan. Perhaps offer more thai dishes. I love soft pillows, the room was clean, nice scenery from balcony, swimming pool at executive building is good(at my building the swimming pool were underconstruction ). Staffs are helpful. A street and back of the building and underground parking lot are under construction, that confuses which way to go. If the check-in process is faster , that would be perfect.

The buffet spread at breakfast was great! And the hotel staff were very accommodating to any request. We also went to dinner at their hotel rest on one night amongst with some cocktails. The environment was amazing, there were Salsa dancers practising their moves and a another group on a pool table. The overall experience just from the hotel was a lot more than what Pattaya had to offer. Good job Team Holiday Inn Pattaya!!
