I came to the hotel for the first time through a friend's recommendation. My family will arrive at the hotel on October 16th, staying for one night. I booked the room through the Agoda app and fully paid for the room at a price of $220.91 on the evening of October 15th. When I arrived at the hotel on October 16th, the receptionist did not check carefully and double-charged my room fee an additional $232.83. The trip and everything else went well; I wanted to give a good review for the hotel as they welcomed me and gave me two cookies. I booked the room including breakfast, but did not receive any breakfast; they didn't say where or when breakfast was served, so my family ended up eating outside. When I returned home a few days later, I checked and found that the hotel had double-charged me. I tried to text the receptionist for assistance. But she said she hadn't received the room fee before I arrived. She lied because when I booked through the Agoda app, they took the money immediately on October 15th. She should have checked the guest's booking information before collecting the fee. I also didn't want to make things difficult for her, I just wanted to get my money back. She said she would help contact her manager. However, when I called Hilton's hotline, they apologized and told me to call the hotel. I requested the manager's phone number. I called, and he said he would call me back; he confirmed that the hotel had double-charged me. But I waited and never heard back from him. When I called the reception, they said the manager was not there. And the receptionist also did not respond to my messages anymore. They tried to evade their wrongdoing. If I hadn't called, I would have had to pay $453.74 for one night in a standard room. I just wanted to get my money back but only received silence in return. The hotel should have proactively contacted me to refund my money first. I have all the booking and bank images if the hotel requests them. I have reported it to my bank. I feel the customer service is really poor. This is my first time here, and I’m sure I will never dare to come back. I share this so that other guests do not encounter the same situation as I did. A large hotel chain like Hilton behaves so poorly and takes care of their customers so badly.
