Flaminio and Parioli hotels & places to stay

Not too far out of the Town, can be walked (20 mins) through the park to the Piazza. Relaxing facilities, nice pool, great Spa (foc). Clean rooms with good TV options. Easy to criticise but I would book again in a heart beat. Staff are polite and helpful. I didn't eat in the restaurant but for no reasons other than wanting to go out to eat. If you're looking for a Hotel without the frills in the thick of it, I recommend the Albergo Del Senata in the Pantheon square.

Loved the stay here and would come again but being a four star hotel (through no fault of their own) incurred a massive £6 per person per night night which was outrageous. Wifi was only available in the lobby which saw a number of guests meandering around the 'strong reception areas'. Will say that Antonella and Marcello in particular were fantastic employees and did all they could to make us feel at home and this was the main thing I recalled from being there. Would stay again and would advise the same for others despite the ridiculous government charges ie 'City Tax'.

The hotel was large, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. Not your typical cramped room European hotel. It is away from the tourist traps yet close enough to walk to everything, except for Vatican area. The hotel is the best I've stayed in all of Rome. Even the bathroom was superb with plenty of room. The breakfast was also very good and provided a lot of choices. I can't wait to stay here again

Wonderful welcoming and caring staff, we booked two nights and we were given an option to book a suite for small price which we accepted, very nice rooms and bathrooms! Bar is great with complimentary food with drinks. Great location and everything major in Rome is at walking distance. They also provide guided tour to Vatican which was great! we were picked up from hotel and tour was very helpful with wonderful lady guide! Highly recommended! We will be back again! :)

I really did enjoy staying in this hotel. The room was very nice, the hotel was quiet and the staff were helpful. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was that it had air conditioning. Once I got there I did find that they had already turned the air conditioning off...to my disappointment. Some other guests had complained that it was to cold. This made for very hot nights. The comforters, although very nice, were down and way to hot for me to sleep under. I tried sleeping with the window open. They don't have screen in Italy so you do have to deal with mosquitoes and other bugs getting in your room. Even with those problems and not a very comfortable night's sleep, I loved this little hotel. One of the other people I had traveled with booked a hotel in close proximity to the airport. Of course they paid less per night but the difference was amazing. I was very happy with my choice and would stay there again. I'd also recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind being further away from the city.

We stayed at VICO Flaminio for 7 nights, and had a great experience. The location is excellent - a couple blocks from a Metro station, a block from trams and buses, and 3 blocks from Piazza del Popolo. Very central, very easy to get around, and some good places to eat nearby that won’t cost a fortune. The room was actually a small apartment - a living room, bedroom and bathroom. It was on the 6th floor, and the lovely terrace for breakfasts is on the 4th floor. Typical of old Italian buildings, the doors are narrow, the lift small and slow, but the ceilings are extremely high and the terrace was beautifully set up with lots of plants, and had a lovely breeze. Breakfast was generous - eggs to order, espresso, fruit, yogurt, toast, meats, cheese, fresh juice and pastries. They were starting a happy hour on the terrace before we left, but we weren’t able to go. The staff are really great - very friendly, and very helpful. They have maps and can help you book tours.

The Lord Bryon Hotel truly lives up to its five star rating and beyond. At first I different understand the location, however after experiencing all the local culture, great restaurants, exposure and opportunity to mingle with true Italians, shop a good local outlets and its proximity to historic place other than the customary tourist locations I am happy to make this jewel of Italy.

Generally good, but the location was too far from anywhere. Had to take the local line to connect to the main A and B train lines. But the local line is old and decrepit and the train times are not frequent, so transport is always an issue. On one day of our 4-day stay, there was an unannounced train strike. Otherwise, this B&B was ok. Would recommend B&Bs in the city area.

We enjoyed having this large apartment (very close to all the major attractions in Rome) as our base to explore this marvelous city. Comfortable rooms, very pleasant, welcoming and helpful landlady. Could do with some basic tourist information on site, but otherwise a great place to base youself for a holiday. The apartment has 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen/dining room, a seperate single bedroom and convertable sofas in the lounge room that could sleep a total of 7- ideal for a family. Very close to trams, the metro, and easy walking distance to all the big Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Vatican etc.

Alessio and Daniele really took care of me and made certain all my needs were met. I usually stay elsewhere but have a new home in Rome ...the Domina Popolo. The breakfast was typical Italian with wonderful delivered pastries, coffee maker, and juices in a comfortable dining area. Situated on a quiet side street ground floor. I cannot thank the guys enough for all they did for me. Book it. You will like it and the price too!

We had an awesome little stay here. The staff are very friendly & they’re more like family! Like an uncle and aunty! It’s an old building with a quirky old lift that takes you up to the rooms. There is a common area with a notice board and most importantly a coffee machine. The rooms are set up with a small ensuite with toilet, basin and very good water pressure for the shower. There is a split system air conditioner, small desk and queen size bed. I’m not sure if all the rooms are the same but our room was comfy enough. The bed was a queen. The location is fantastic close to all the major sites and just a short 3 min walk to the metro station. There is a couple of supermarkets and deli’s near by as well as plenty of places to eat. Recommended.
