Where to stay in Colosseum and Foro Romano
Colosseum and Foro Romano hotels & accommodations
Great location- right by the Colosseum and a Metro stop. The lofts we stayed in were around the corner from the main hotel. We got a discounted deal or else we couldn't have afforded the list price. I'd stay here again just for the location.
This hotel is in the thick of things, if you are a tourist. The Colosseum and various museums are all within a 15-minute walk. The main train station, Termini, is a short 20-minute walk, and the nearby walking street has plenty of food and entertainment. The main street, Cavour, has lots of wine sellers and smallish food stores. The hotel staff were amazing, the breakf...
The guest house is around 15min walk to the Colosseum and there are nearby bus stations too! Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast options are limited but good enough to start your day. Overall good value for money! :)
We chose this place based on location and price. It fit our budget and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. It's within walking distance to many major sights including the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. One thing we missed was the lounging area on the rooftop. We didn't know until our last night and wish we had found out sooner. It's got a great view of the...
Pro. Great location. Close to the metro. Con. No signs of hotel. The room door so small but it ok.
Beautiful hotel, we booked a standard room and was very impressed. The hotel is a 10 mins walk from the colosseum and train station. Just outside the hotel, on the same road are nice cafes/restaurants. The hotel cannot be faulted, however the restaurant and drink prices are quite expensive.
I chose Edera Hotel mainly because it was close to the Colosseum and since it was much cheaper compared to other Hotels. The hotel room was nothing fancy, but it catered for everything I needed as it provided AC, TV, large bathroom and a comfy bed. I loved the Breakfast especially as it is not the usual English breakfast which are normally full of fatty and greasy stuf...
Room is exceptional, big comfy beds, washing machine and even a nespresso machine. Surrounded by many restaurants and best of all near the colosseum. The receptionist Federico is very helpful
Location is wonderful right next to Colosseum and Forum Romanum. The room was big but a little old but it just gives it a feeling of living in an authentic roman appartment and not any other hotel. The location is very quiet eventhough the B&B is located on Via Cavour. Breakfast is plenty and served in the room. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Great value for mone...
We really enjoyed our stay in Feliz in Roma B&B. We were greeted by the owner Alberta who immediately made us feel at home, showing us around and helping us with planning our sightseeing around Rome. Although we didn't meet again after the first day, she kept in contact with us through Whatsapp, helped us with the transfer to the airport, and on New Year's Eve we also ...
Stay was fantastic. This hotel is near to Colosseum and you might get a room with window view of the tourist site. Rooms are nice and new though small. Hotel is near to metro where you can travel to the city are which is just 2 stops away.
Lovely breakfast in rooftop restaurant overlooking colosseum and forum. Comfortable rooms. Even better sundowner cocktails with that beautiful view. Really accommodating to our children. Rooms beautifully decorated and amazing soundproofing from street.
Our stay in Rome was made even more special by the amazing hospitality we got at MICLAD. Daniele was a perfect host who was very helpful with all insights about the city. The apartment was exceptional in its location, a short walk to the Colosseum, and as a place to stay. Recommend this to anyone who is visiting this lovely city.
It was absolutely lovely staying here. The woman who owns the bed and breakfast was very kind and helpful. It's just a 15-minute walk to the Colosseum and just a five-minute walk to the bus stop (81) that takes you to all the tourist spots you need to go. Very convenient, cute, authentic stay for Rome. The breakfast was light but feeling and always on time when you req...
Me and my friend came there (2 girls). We spent there 3 nights, and it was pretty great. The girl who was there was flexible, and kind. I recommend, it's a 12-minute-walk from the Colosseum, but not at the tourist part, so local cafes, shops, and Italian spirit surrounded us. Everything is modern and new. We loved it!!
- five minutes from Colosseum - modern room with good shower - very quiet surroundings - a few good bars and restaurants available (ask the staff for discount) - helpful and friendly reception
We only stayed one night here, but we wish we could have extended the trip! We had a lovely balcony in our room. The rooftop is incredible with views of the colosseum and the forum. Breakfast is phenomenal. Can't wait to return!
the rooms are not large, however this is an old building and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was basic and located in a lavish dining room, however could benefit from the introduction of fresh juices. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Wifi was free and available throughout the hotel. The primary feature of this hotel is its l...
Excellent, it is a Guest house and we were made to feel very welcome, the staff Florina and Dowenico were very attentive. The location is fabulous 70 yards from the Colosseum and 300 yards from the Metro. Our room was at the back on the 3rd floor, many stairs, but had a lovely bathroom with a Jacuzzi. Excellent air--conditioning. The continental breakfast was very good...
We had an apartment , the good room on the 4th floor. They are building a elevator now, which is a good thing, because it is quite a walk upstairs. The room was okay, we did not like the overdone on colors. The kitchen was full equipped, although we didn't use it. There is an nespresso machine, with free cups of coffee. The breakfast they offer is a bit poor. Just some...
Everything was perfect and we had a great stay!! The room was clean, the owner was very nice and helpful to us and the location was perfect - walking distance to everything. I can highly recommend B&B Circus Maximus!!
This is more like s Airbnb, we get a apartment which is near to Colosseum. The apartment looks nice but not very clean, we can see hair and stains on the bedsheets. The cleaning fee €35 and tax € 3.5per pax per night should be mentioned on the website. It’s expensive compare to other city. The transport from the apartment to airports is less than €60 if you go by Tax...
First of all when we arrived we discovered there was no reception or staff around to help us, we weren’t told where to pick up keys or to check it? There was no where? A man approached us (the mail man by the looks of things) and tried to help us, he then went to another building where the owner had given him the keys to give to us (after about half an hour wait). Tr...
This was my second short stay at the hotel. The breakfast was very good - try the bacon and egg and so was the coffee. The location is about 15-20 min relaxing walk to the colosseum and the area is quiet in a good way. Prob 15-20 eur by taxi to most sightseeing locations. 20 eur to go to the Vatican for example which is up north in Rome versus the hotel which is in t...
Hotel Foro Romano Imperatori is a fantastic little boutique hotel situated only steps away from the Roman Forum, and a short stroll to the Colosseum. The ambiance, location, and friendly staff made our stay a very lovely and warm one, which we would definitely consider returning to when we return to Roma.
Great location, just a few minutes' walk from the Colosseum. Not the greatest street, but we were simply using it as a base so that really wasn't a problem. Very clean, with room service each day. The lady who runs it is lovely. The only downside is the lack of soundproofing, so we had interrupted sleep due to doors being shut loudly etc. I think if our neighbours...
Walking distance to the colosseum, nice & clean rooms! Many bars & restaurants nearby, & even a 24hours supermarket. The only problem is try not to reach after 8pm as there will be a surcharge as there won’t be a reception all day there. But very friendly and nice lady who explained on all the things you can do at Rome! Bed is comfortable, aircon is good! WiFi is good ...
To be honest, I had difficulty finding a good hotel in Rome that was reasonably priced and well-located. That is why I was very grateful to Agoda (c/o Booking.com) for suggesting Tre R Colosseo. The hotel is conveniently located in a building right across the Colosseo!!! I couldn't believe it at first until I actually saw it! The property has 3 rooms. The room was well...
Worth it
We had a wonderful stay here. Just 2mins from colosseum. That is wonderful since we brought our kid along. Few restaurants just along the corner in which u can sip your coffee and enjoy your snacks overlooking the colosseum. The view is stunning. We have booked triple room with colosseum view or they called it as luxury room for 2nights. The room is spacious, modern an...

If you look at the Hotel Solis website, the pictures in the gallery look amazing, but that is not true. One of those pictures was actually our room and it was the size of a walk in closet, but it looks big and beautiful in the gallery. The AC was non-functional and it was about 80+ in our room. They did bring us a fan. The balcony was over a little courtyard, however, ...

Arianna is very thoughtful and kind. The place is easy to find and it is about 10 to 15 mins walk from the Termini. I would recommend Velvet Suite to those travelling to Rome.
Perfect location, everything was fine.

I would say I have done a lot of research on best places to stay for my Rome 4 day 5 nights (AUG 8-13, 2014) stay and I didn't want a generic hotel or b&b. I am on a budget and wanted somewhere near the Colosseum. Retrome offers a great thematic hotel room and the retro theme is really nice. My brother and I were given the newly renovated floor (Serpenti) and so we got...

The Staff was real nice and the location was perfect. HOWEVER, my partner and I we very disappointed over the lack of service. We stayed here for 4 nights, and not once did we get clean towels nor did we get clean sheets. The BREAKFAST was rather disappointing as well. The breakfast is served at a nearby café, and it is very busy. We did never quite get, what we could ...

We stayed here for five nights in late October and we were generally satisfied with our stay. My only major complaint was the use of a very powerful perfumed room freshener which was quite objectionable, and which I objected to, unfortunately quite forcefully. Having said this the room itself was very large, spotlessly clean and very well located, close to all the ...
If you prefer hotel service. Don't select this resident. Because it's not hotel. It's apartment where has only 4 rooms. No check in counter. There're only small signage in front of the apartment's door to inform the telephone number for calling to check in. So that mean you need to pay international call if you're traveller from other country.

This 4 star hotel is a short walk from the Forum and Colosseum, and about a 15 minute walk to some good restaurants across the river. This is a class hotel with excellent services. On departure day, we left early with a prepacked breakfast...nice touch. Definitely recommended.
if you are planning to visit rome with your family this apartment will best suit your accomodation needs!
Two-bedroom flat with one bathroom and roomy kitchen / lounge / dining. Clean and well-maintained. Kitchen had all the necessary appliances. Beds were comfortable and towels were provided.
