Where to stay in Tokyo
Tokyo hotels & accommodations
We booked 2 night stay tryingsttrying for the 1st time at Mutsui hotel chain. We were very impressed with the spacious room for Tokyo standard, nice reception, right above JR station Shin-Nihonbashi and also the subway station Mitsukoshi Mae. We stayed at Daiwa Roynet before and few other Japanese chains and the rooms were smaller as expected for Tokyo standard. The ...
The breakfast bread is quite nice and I had a few slices. They have 2 new apple PCs at the lobby which is good for business people who need to do some urgent work. But the hotel size is quite tiny. I believe 80% of the budget Tokyo hotels are like this.
love the room that larger than other hotel in Tokyo. There are Kitchen, dinning table , refrigerator and microwave. we stayed here for 3nights for 4person. Location only 450meter from Ueno station and Seven Eleven along the way we pass. Staff friendly and good service. The staff help to call taxi to KeiSei line on the day we left for us. Recommend to stay here.
It's a sleek, modern and clean no frills hotel, all we needed for a Tokyo hotel to recharge at night ! Went for the deluxe double and it was well worth it for the bigger bathroom and most importantly , a proper massage chair , invaluable after a long day in the city! For the money paid I can't find a better hotel in Tokyo ! Similar priced ones are usually smaller and m...
Got a single, smoking room. Very nice room no complaints. My first time in Japan and this business hotel is located near a major train station, Nippori Station. Very convenient to travel to just about anywhere in Tokyo and to and from Narita Airport. Might be confusing at first to use their train and metro but then I have my best friend with me which is Google Maps and...
My 2nd APA Hotel that i stayed in. As usual APA hotel is super clean and nice even the room is perfectly clean. Facilities is good. The public bath is awesome. Hotel staff are very friendly and efficient especially the guy that help me with the check in.. will return to any APA hotel in tokyo. As i think they have a very high standard in their hotel cleanliness, facili...
Here are the things that made it one of the best for us: Room temperature/ac: sometimes when you are in a hotter city, it is not fun to be in a room that's humid and just uncomfortable. Japan is not a hot city, but I appreciate that the room felt clean and not stuffy or humid or anything like that. It felt fresh. Shower: the water pressure is among one of the most im...
Its expensive but its normal value in tokyo for a hotel. But the location is really great as it will give you the best access for all other attraction in tokyo. Hotel is also a partner of Disneyland and they have FREE shuttle to disneyland park. All in all its the best hotel to stay in shinjuku japan.
Arrived very late at night from Haneda International Terminal through both Monorail & JR Yamanote Line, I had to spend around 20 minutes to find the right way from JR Shinjuku Station. However, it's inside Kabuki-cho, which is one of the best place to have a night drink in Tokyo. But also, the staff is very kind as they kept my 50,000 yens CoD order while other hotels...
Stayed in double bed room. Room size is what one would expect of hotels in Tokyo, quite small, enough room for 1 person to walk at a time. Bathroom was quite small too, but can't complain if you are able to shower and relief yourself. Hotel is about 300m walk from Shinjuku's Kabukicho exit, you can walk there easily. Along the way, you'll go past lots of eateries so y...
Strategically located in a quite ally in Ginza so it’s convenient but away from the hustle and bustle. Room is larger than most three stars hotels in Tokyo. Staff members at the front desk were very hospitable, but those at the restaurant apparently were NOT clear about the room plans offered at their hotel. I payed extra money for breakfast and two drinks per day, but...
We booked the Tower Suites Double. Not sure if it was included but just not mentioned on the booking or if we were upgraded, but we got a room on the 38th (premium) floor with a view of a park and Tsukiji market, and daily breakfast for two. Here's a quick summary of our excellent stay at The Shiodome RPH: Location: the hotel is conveniently located close to the Shimb...
East 21 is an excellent hotel. The staff are helpful and polite. English is well understood. The rooms are comfortable and clean. They are small but this is typical of nearly all Tokyo hotels. Breakfast is a buffet, good enough to suit both Asian and International tastes, but check prices as charges increase usually on weekends. The fitness centre and spa is clean and ...

The room was very spacious compared to orher 5-star hotels in Tokyo. Hotel like this would cost much more but through agoda i got pretty good deal so i definitely enjoyed my stay at Cerulean hotel.
My parents and I stayed at this hotel for our last segment of our Japan trip and we had a wonderful experience overall. Staff was very welcoming and helpful from start to end. The hotel exceeded all of our expectations. It's hard to find spacious hotels in Tokyo, and this one was modestly big for the 3 of us. Room was clean and supplied with numerous vanity kits, not ...
This hotel is great! Prior to staying at the hotel, I had several questions, and the hotel always responded via email. Communication with the hotel was great. The hotel is accessable from the Narita Airport by bus shuttle (to and from the airport). This is extremely convienent door to door service. I recommend using this service, unless you want to figure out ...
on 12th July night, we approached the reception desk to ask about delivering one of my luggage to the next hotel in Tokyo while we are away for Kyoto for 3 days 2 nights. The receptionist was so helpful, he not only helped us complete the form which is best written in Japanese (and he's got really nice handwriting!), he also called the receiving Tokyo hotel to inform t...
We stayed in this hotel for 2 days recently. We had a very pleasant experience throughout our stay. Initially we booked our room in 2 separate booking, so theoretically we have to check in another room for the 2nd day, but the front staff, a gentleman, is so kind and really took the time to find us a high floor room for the 2 nights so that we need not have the hassle...
Nippon Seinenkan Hotel is over the road from the Meiji Jingu Stadium, which means it's super easy to catch a Yakult Swallows game - so much fun! The hotel itself is very new and very convenient to the Tokyo Metro Ginza subway line, and the Omotesando, Shibuya and Shinjuku shopping areas are all within walking distance. Ginza shopping is only a short subway ride away. ...
The only weird thing is google maps doesn’t show this hotel’s location... I used the address to find it. This property appears new. The lobby is beautiful and the staff were very nice. The highlight are the rooms! Clean and modern. Not as small as I’ve experienced in other hotels in Tokyo. My wife and I were very comfortable. The onsen was amazing too. The loc...
Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo was my home away from home during my visit to Tokyo, Japan earlier in January this year. I had chosen this hotel based on the location and surrounding facilities (and made the reservation from Malaysia) but I was surprised that it had more benefits than I had bargained for when I arrived at the hotel. Firstly, travelling to the hotel was very...
This was really a good stay and i would highly recommebnd this hotel in Tokyo. First of all rooms are large and not over priced when you ask for a twin bed room. I think it is very rare in Tokyo. Then service level, wuality and confort of the rooms are really good in line or above european 4 stars /5 stars standard Location is good very near to metro / train station....
The Shibuya Excel Hotel was my first stay in Tokyo Japan. I must say it was the most wonderful experience. The Hotel is brilliantly located, has the best views, lovely and clean and tidy and very quiet. Very relaxing to return to after a busy day exploring this wonderful part of the world. The staff are great ambassadors for Japan and maintain that lovely warmth, respe...
We stayed in a corner twin room that faced the Mitsukoshi Dept. Store. We had gorgeous views of Ginza. The hotel is very new, just opened last year. The design is very modern, clean and smartly thought out. I appreciated how the shower is separated from the toilet and the sink. There is a empty mini fridge to keep all one's personal items cold without having to hassle ...
The location of the hotel is its best selling point. Couldn't be more convenient for those travelling to Narita airport by skyliner. The room itself is a little bit bigger than other Tokyo hotel rooms and for 1 person feels the right size. The bed is super soft which i thought it would be a problem but i have a suspicion that it is a memory mattress. Same with the pil...
I was pleased with the hotel's location as this is situated near the Kinschicho train station. There are several restaurants nearby and 7-11 convenience store is just a few steps from the hotel. The staff were very accommodating and can speak English very well. The room is quite small but I guess that's the norm in Tokyo hotels. I'd book again in this place when I go b...
The Shinagawa Prince is one of the largest hotels in Tokyo 3700 rooms..It is convenient located 2 minutes walk from JR Shinagawa Station..The staff are extremely polite and helpful it has free computer access on the 7th floor in the annex for those who don't carry a laptop.with a variety of restaurants nearby..I found it good value for money after traveling to Japan fo...
Cheap places to stay in Tokyo
Around 5-10 minutes from kyoto station, so far best hotel in Japan i ever stayed. They have face steamer and leg massager that u can use all the time. Very friendly and helpful staff, big space room compared to other hotel in tokyo with same value money. I lost the phone and they really helpful to help me find it. Near family mart and some japan restaurants. Definitely...
I have try another capsule Hotel in Tokyo but for my conclusion this is the best capsule hotel that suitable for me. The range to metro station is walkable and not to far. The staff is the best ever. They even provide you free drink! The capsule is the largest compare my other 4 capsule hotel I have stay in Tokyo. Thanks a lot owl hotel! Arigato gosaimas
Pros: cheap, close to Tokyo tower, clean, friendly Cons: about a 1km walk to main Subway station, only 2 plug outlets, pillow was extremely firm so wasn't the best sleep (bring small travel pillow if you can) Misc: it is a capsule hotel to pack light, there isn't much space. Your room is basically a need and smaller storage bin.
The location is good, near a JR and Tokyo metro station, as well as plenty of good restaurants and grocery stores that are open late. There is also a small park up the hill where you can enjoy your bento box. However, this is little more than a row of bunk beds, two showers, and a bathroom. The owner is only there to check in new guests, and is available via e-mail if...
this is one of best hostel in Japan i stayed. wifi fast and easy to connecte bed(capusal box ) it isolated room that feel like stay at tiny single room.the mattress is good to sleep.(not too soft or hard) Shower & bathroom clean and enough number of them.i never had waited. common room there re free coffee & tea,tv,kichten, friage. well cleaned i got this booking...
This was my first time to Japan and had a complete blast. Khaosan Tokyo Origami was a part of that experience and glad they could provide accommodations for me. The vibe and look of the place was really pleasing. Everything was very organized and easy to follow if you are unfamiliar with how a hostel works. They have washer and dryer if you need to clean clothes and a ...
I do definitely recommend this hostel to anyone. The cleanest I have even been at. About five minutes walk from a subway. 24 hours hot water. Shower water pressure is amazing. The staff are amicable and helpful. The hostel is also within proximity to Seven Elevan and other places such as MacDonald, restaurants and etc. Sequrity is 100%; after all the hostel is locate...
I didn't expect much when I first booked Trace. I needed somewhere quickly and inexpensive. It ended up being so good!! -Friendly and comfortable. -They keep your bags up stairs if you arrive early. -There is free coffee every morning from 8am-10am -It's one train from NRT airport -The two stations that are closest are great links. I hadn't been to Tokyo before s...
The Oakhostel Zen have a good location, 3 mins from JR station, from JR to hostel have two stores, it’s very easy to buy food/drink when back to hostel. The staffs are friendly, helpful, always keep smile!! Just like home ! The space is also good, double bed room is bigger than 3 stars hotel in Tokyo! Everything is clean! I feel good and will come back again!!!!
Stayed 5 nights at IMNAO Tokyo Hostel. Very satisfied with my stay. The place was very clean and especially their toilet was clean as well. Cafe was pretty cool too. Distance from Shinjuku sanchome station to hostel is around 5mins walk, Walking to Shinjuku main station is around 10 to 12 mins walk. There are many restaurants nearby and there are family mart as well,...
Great Location - near Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamize Shopping Street, Asakusa Temple and Asakusa Station (Ginza Line). The staf are very helpful and friendly. Nice personal touches when you come. They have their own personal top ten recommendation lists both for Tokyo and Japan. Would definitely use again. Excellent facilites in common areas-fridge/ toaster/ grill/ crocker...
I come to Tokyo two three times a year, and this is the first time I tried capsule hotel. To my surprise the facility is excellent, and the price is just unbeatable. They not only provide all of the usual necessity, the quality far exceeded what I hope for. There are two tiny drawbacks, the English skill of the receptionist needs a bit of improvement, and the location ...
Very nice hostel indeed. I book a 6 mix bedroom. I arrive around 11am and I straight away get to check in. Staffs are very helpful. Room and toilets are very clean with hair and body shampoo but only 3rd floor allowed for male shower. Location is very nice to Ryogoku JR which is like 3 mins walk. There got a huge lounge, u can have a PS3 for entertainment and 3 laptop...
The stay would've been perfect if there were bidets on toilets. I was expecting it! Since the place looked cozy, I didn't bother to look into the presence of bidets. I think the hostel should add them as most hostels in Japan had it installed already. On the other hand, I think the hostel's pretty great overall! Great location! It is surrounded by so many stations and...
It was a pleasant 1 week stay here. The place was near to subway and JR station, it is very important because we are using 72 hour tokyo subway pass. The staff were very nice too. On our last day, we asked them if there are any station near us that had an elevator or escalator because we had pretty much and big luggage, they don't know but they called the subway compan...
Our first 2 nights were spent in Khaosan Tokyo Samurai. Booked this coz of the excellent reviews. And I think, it did not disappoint me. Even the rooms or beds don't have lock, just a curtain to cover but I felt safe and slept well. The place is close to restaurants, convenience stores, train stations, Sensoji Temple, Namisake Shopping Street, Don Quijote. The Skytr...
For the price this is the best in the area! It was close to Asakusa station (around 900m or 15 mins walk) where you get off from Narita Airport. It was also close to the Tawaramuchi station that houses the Ginza line, which can get you to tourist spots like Shibuya, Ueno and Shinjuku. It is so close (so so close!) to the Sensoji temple, and I've visited it in the early...
This is hands down the best hostel I have stayed at in Japan. You can't beat the price to value ratio. Also in a very cool/central part of Tokyo that is 5 minutes walk from the train station. The staff makes you feel welcome and speak more English than most people. I would recommend to every traveler coming to Tokyo.
This place is not for people who read reviews. This small, thin-walled, three bedroom apartment sitting directly above a snack bar gives out ear plugs for all of its patrons due to it being open until 4am on some nights. The staff are only there long enough to clean and then leave. As a result of this, if you book with them then you must pay online and then they will ...
Non-existent staff but everything is prepared upon arrival; check-in and check-out is quick as you don't have to do anything. Common area is spacious and tidy. Pillow is thin and no extra available. No free toiletries, towel, or free use of shower. Price is very cheap especially if you just need somewhere to rest and leave your things for the day. Location is a little ...
I love this place so much! It's cheap, affordable and walkable from Asakusa station. About 10 minutes without luggage, about 20 minutes with luggage since you might need to take the lift and it takes more time to lug things around. I love walking to and from the station because the view is always nice of the bridges over the Sumida River, and you can see the Tokyo Sky...
Ok. No complaints. LOVE. 5 STARS for Star Inn. Near a train station and mall.
If you travel solo or by pair, staying here 1-2 nights is your best bet. It's cheap considering it's near downtown Tokyo, and the staff is really nice. Shuji was especially friendly and a gentleman, with loads of energy even after past 10pm haha! The area has a lot of izakaya and pubs so it's a bonus. Beds are also comfortable and relatively clean. Prepare to frequentl...
I stayed in Grids hostel for 3 weeks in Tokyo and thought the location and cleanliness of the hostel was great. the staff were terrific and very friendly and I really enjoyed the chilled out atmosphere of the common area with different movies on all the time. I would definitely recommend grids to any one coming to Tokyo as I definitely enjoyed my stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at &And Hostel. The staff were friendly and although the room was small, it had everything we needed and more with the smartphone control features. Asakusa is a great little part of Tokyo, with good food options on the doorstep and of course Senso Ji Temple. The nearest station is very close, however with JR passes we opted to use Ueno ...
The only cons were that it got a bit too warm in the capsule even with the fan on, and the noise from other travellers in the mornings if you are wanting to sleep in a bit. Noise is unavoidable in places like this though, and everyone was doing their best to be quiet so heavy sleepers shouldn't have a problem. I was amazed at the amount of things included in the cost!...
I've been travelling to Tokyo a lot lately, which makes me stayed in many hostels all around Tokyo which makes me believe, that this hostel is one of the best one around, the location is perfect with just 5 minutes walk from station (which have an elevator up and down, perfect if you bring big luggage), the staff is very friendly, and its near many restaurants which s...
So it's very hard to find! And when we arrived we had to get local police to help us find the place - however by the time we left there were signs all over the door advertising what it was. Only one key for main door - which is in a padlock outside - however we were not given code for this so at 1130 at night when we got there thought we were gonna have to sleep rough ...
I stayed in Economy Single Room for 1 night on 17th, Jan 2018. I'm a Japanese national living in abroad. I've stayed in many hotels in Tokyo and Narita area in a range of room charge from ¥3,000−¥7,000 /person/night. If you prefer to secure your privacy and wish to stay in a single room in Tokyo, with very limited budget, Oak Sakura has the perfect rooms for you. They...
Great place if your visit to Tokyo is short, with the station really close by. The place itself is surrounded by restaurants and other convenient stores. Simple place with staffs that can speak English. Inside the capsule bed there is a single USB plug socket, and a Japanese standard plug socket. My height is 172 centimeter, the length of the bed just fits my height. ...

The Candeos hotel is located approx 200m from the Shinbashi station (great if you have a JR pass). It is super busy Friday nights as this is where men go to celebrate end of week and also bars aplenty (where you find 18+ bars too *wink*). However it is very safe here and you will find a great 24hr seafood grill bar on the corner. Very clean and very friendly staff who ...
Looking for a hotel is one of the most arduous and critical decisions one makes when one travels. There are so many considerations to be made. In my last trip to Tokyo from the 26th of February to the 4th of March. I found the one hotel I will be staying in every time I visit Tokyo. That hotel is JR KYUSHU BLOSSOM HOTEL SHINJUKU! I absolutely love this hotel. First, th...
Definitely put this hotel on your itinerary. Minutes from Gonzalez for shopping. Right by Shinbashi station for access to other Tokyo sites, shinbashi also loaded with great eating. Close to Tsukiji if you want to brace the crowds. Turret Coffee is minutes away for probably the best artisan espresso you will find in Tokyo. Hotel staff, room comfort, quietness factor al...
I have stayed in Tokyo a few times and this was the best hotel I've stayed at to date. Across the street, behind Bic Camera, are a vast selection of restaurants you could ever ask for. We ate here every night and there were still restaurants we wanted to try when we left, perhaps next time. With four lines in the two metro stations next to the hotel made the whole c...
When we arrived, we realized that our booking put us all on smoking rooms. The helpful staff managed to put us on non-smoking but we still need to stay two nights at smoking rooms as at the time they have no non-smoking room for the whole duration of our stay. We found that the smoking room has better bed with some sort of memory foam or latex foam lining on top. The h...
Shinjuku might be a red light district but don’t let that discourage you from staying there with your family. Japan is safe, clean and friendly and even the red light district maintains a civility lost in other places. The Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo hotel staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful and did their utmost to make our stay in Tokyo pleasant. The rooms...
I travel to tokyo every year and always stayed at this hotel. Location is only 3 mins away from shinjuku south exit, with access to yamanote and chuo line. They got limousine bus at the hotel lobby also to travel to haneda. Rooms are spacious for a tokyo hotel, and my son always enjoy staying there. A nit expensive but you can't beat the accessibility..
This is truly one of the best hotel in Tokyo that i visited during my recent holiday trip (total 4 hotels, changing cities). in fact one of the best that i stayed in 2012. BIG room for Tokyo hotels. and the bedding is excellent.
Great location very close to Kinshicho Station, which is a smaller, commuter friendly station from which you connect to other parts of Tokyo . Hotel is close to Tokyo Sky Tree (only one stop away on the subway), and there is easy access to Tokyo Disney (free limo shuttle from the hotel). Great shopping and restaurants nearby. The breakfast Viking is also superb! I...
Best hotel in tokyo ! Spacious clean room with a wonderful view of the temple and tokyo skytree. Hotel was located 3 mins from the shrine 5 mins from asakusa station and 1 minute away from don quixote !! Staff were friendly and helpful. Front desk yoshioka san ? was wonderful and accommodating.
This hotel really stands out in terms of value for money. Tokyo hotel prices are more expensive compared to other cities, and many travelers will probably try alternatives such as Airbnb. This hotel had prices comparable to a good Airbnb rental, without the hassle of trying to clean up after yourself. Plus, it is located near Shimbashi station, which links to many trai...
The location is perfect for Disney travelers. The free hotel shuttle ride is also convenient for elderly folks or babies on strollers. A mall across the hotel have shops like Uniqlo, Muji, Starbucks, Subway, and McDonalds. A grocery and food court is also available in the mall. However, the location is far from places of interest in Tokyo and that's why I give it on...
We have stayed in many hotels in Tokyo and this Gotanda hotel proved to be excellent value for money with very easy access to Gotanda JR station and the Toei Asakusa subway line being only a few minutes walk. You can easily access all the main areas in Tokyo including the Tokyo, Ginza, Shibuya and Shinjuku areas in less than 20 minutes. The rooms were essentially new s...
This is my third Tokyo hotel room, and while they've all been great, this one was the best (single room, traveling alone). Spotlessly clean, the room was well laid out, and staff was lovely. They kept my luggage for me when I arrived WAY before check-in, and again when I checked out but wasn't flying out until later in the day. The bed was super comfortable, the line...
Fantastic and we feel very happy, satisfied and we will be back in this hotel. This hotel has the best location, just 3 minutes walk to Asakusa (Oedo line)station. Beautiful view of Tokyo Skytree. Our room is facing Tokyo Bay and Mount Fuji (far view) side. But the 26th floor for breakfast time we can see Tokyo Skytree clearly. Probably just 2 km from the hotel. Oh, t...
Luxury hotels in Tokyo
Its expensive but its normal value in tokyo for a hotel. But the location is really great as it will give you the best access for all other attraction in tokyo. Hotel is also a partner of Disneyland and they have FREE shuttle to disneyland park. All in all its the best hotel to stay in shinjuku japan.
The room was very spacious compared to orher 5-star hotels in Tokyo. Hotel like this would cost much more but through agoda i got pretty good deal so i definitely enjoyed my stay at Cerulean hotel.
The superior twin non-smoking room is considered a decent size compared to most smaller rooms in Tokyo hotels. The Daiba train station is right in front of the door step of the hotel. Getting in to Tokyo city merely take about 15 minutes, ie from Daiba station to Simbashi sation, Simbashi is a major connection to other lines of the subway system in Tokyo city so it's f...
Absolutely the BEST place to stay if your not doing tours and just "wingin" it by yourselves. Subway was about a one minute walk from the hotel! And every city we went to was less than 10-15 minute subway rides. Ginza and daiba have the best shopping spots and akihabara is electronic and anime central. Roppangi is the bar/Clubs night life City. Tokyo tower is a must se...
Whenever I stay at a hotel, it is always the staff that makes a difference. The counter staff, concierge and bellboy remembered me when I returned from my outing. I like their personalized greeting. The general manager's personal note and little gifts like Bvlgari chocolates and traditional Japanese red bean cakes inside the room also made a huge difference. Among thes...
Before the departure to Tokyo we needed a driving license translation in Japanese and the hotel arranged this for free. We arrived too early for check-in, about noon. The staff was sorry we had to wait two hours in the beautiful bar with garden fountain view and upgraded us for free in a marvellous 60 sq mt suite with Tokyo Tower panoramic view. The hotel and the ser...
We stayed 5 nights in a superior twin room. Our room was bright, comfortable and well appointed. Tokyo hotel rooms are small, but this room was bigger than most and used its space well. It was easy to live comfortably out of our suitcases here. Bathroom was lovely and well equipped. The hotel was convenient to at least two Metro stations (Shimbashi and Gonzaga) and an...
This is a wonderful five star hotel located across from the Imperial Palace, close to Tokyo station, and near several underground arcades (malls) full on wonderful retail shops and eating places. It is also in the heart of the business section. The rooms are large, comfortable, and contain every conceivable need for a pleasant, relaxing stay. The staff is excellent, ...
The location, if you are visiting Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, is amazing. You are about a 3 minute walk or bus ride from Bayside monorail station. There are many amenities if you are planning on spending a lot of time in the hotel, but we didn't. Also, the service is excellent. That said, this was our third hotel in our two weeks in Japan, so my expectations were ...
Loved this boutique hotel which answered all our needs for leisure travel in Tokyo. Well located and walking distance to Harajuku, Cat Street and nearby back streets and good transfport on metro outside the door. Brilliant gym and good spa facility too. Breakfast sgtraight forward Western though Japanese dishes were oddly underwhelming. Nice bar on top floor with inter...
Booked this hotel for my anniversary in Tokyo (Tower view). STUNNING. The tower is actually alot closer than I have expected, staying at the 47th (there's only 47/48/49th floor). Room was excellent and I had stated that it was an anniversary and hotel mgmt actually hand drew a card and a small plant as a gift. Very warm of them. I was lucky that the 1 night stay had th...
Hotel is very well managed with excellent service, great food and good location. It is best value for five star hotel in Tokyo. The only weakness is the concierge, the ladies working there seems not as well trained as other Western hotel, can not really either communicate or understand Western guests’ taste or preference.
This review is long because I wanted to be detailed, but if it’s too long… TL/DR (too long/didn’t read): Japan is a country with a high standard of service and a high level of food quality; this hotel is world-class even by those standards. Do not hesitate to book here; do not waste time considering other hotels. Unbelievable location, décor, rooms, food, and service....
This is THE BEST hotel I ever stay in Tokyo in the last 15 years! The room is huge in Tokyo hotel standard, breath taking view, excellent service, nice pool, only downside is pricey but its definitely worth it.
Hi Andre, I just wanted to thank you once again for your hospitality during my stay at the hotel Chinzanso. My only regret is that I didn't book my whole trip at your hotel... The following was written up for Agoda travel - I mean every word of it and I promise you, your hotel would be my first recommendation as part of my experience. Working for an airline and wi...
Hotel New Otani Tokyo is not the best 5 stars hotel in Tokyo but one of the most well known prestige hotel. Staffs are great, and rooms are fairly big. Most popular is its summer time night pool. One of the very few out door hotel pool in Tokyo. Great place for a weekend get away. I will definitely go again for a romantic stay soon!
For our first trip to Tokyo, we wanted a luxury hotel that wasn't part of an international chain - something in a neighbourhood that would be less tourist-y and more "local". Our son's Japanese colleagues suggested the Meguro Gajoen and although it wasn't on our travel agency's list of Tokyo hotels, we decided to go for it. Turns out it was the perfect choice. First of...
One of the best hotel in Tokyo. Quality and 5 Star service.
We prefer to stay in Ginza when it Tokyo, but we wanted to experience the vibe in Shinjuku so we booked a night here at Keio Plaza. If you are decided about staying in Shinjuku, this is a great option. Service was great. We ran into a bit of inconvenience when there was suddenly no water coming from the faucet just as my husband and I were getting ready for bed (clos...
We stayed at The Prince Gallery for 4 nights and thought it was a great hotel. The rooms are new and modern, and the shower is very nice. We had a view of the city and Mt. Fuji from our room. The staff is very nice and eager to help. We were heading to Osaka next and my husband wanted tickets to an event that was sold out online. The concierge was able to get us the ti...
Arrived tired after a long trip from Kyoto for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon. Front of house staff were aware of this and congratulated us as we were helped to our room and shown around. It's this level of attention that's the norm there. Room - large, stylish, massive comfy bed, nespresso coffee (we had missed our coffee so much!), big bathroom with large tub an...
They provide their service by heart. Everything prepared and done already before you could think of. I am a Shangri La fans, always stay with them whenver I travel abroad. 2 resorts in Kota-kinabalu and the one at Sentosa. We visited Tokyo to stay for one night before going home, though priced higher than most Tokyo hotels, its location and services will compensate it...
Love the stay at The Peninsula Tokyo! Hotel service was great! Especially the concierge team, thumbs up!! The hotel staff were super friendly, even escorted us to our room and introduced facilities in the room. Also, the location of the hotel is superb! Within walking distance of many great restaurants and shopping centers in Ginza! Will definitely stay at this hotel n...
Great Location - minutes from the nearest metro entrance Great Rooms - Big Room with nice city view :) Great Service - English speaking staffs who are very helpful + fantastic facilities / restaurants Pricey though ... But considering the above, worth pampering of one self :)
Brand new hotel in a well located and quaint area away from the noise and bustle but still close to the action. Amazing clean and new room with great facilities and amazing reception and bar area. Highly highly recommend this hotel.
There are too many positives to fit into 1000 characters. I booked a night at the Executive Zen for my wife's 30th birthday and from the moment we walked through the door we were treated like royalty. The staff were helpful and informative, the room had everything and more and came with stunning views of Mt Fuji and Tokyo Tower. The hotel staff contacted me before our ...
I will without a doubt be staying at The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo again. The rooms were big, even for a Western hotel. The staff were very attentive to our needs and almost everyone spoke a degree of English. The lobby décor was absolutely beautiful, although the interior of the rooms appeared a little dated, however I like vintage style so this did not bother me a...
Wonderful immense rooms « à la japonaise » but with real beds. High class, period. Elegant café facing a large enjoyable garden. Good breakfast.
Westin was excellent in every way. Cost was high, but compared to Japan it was reasonable for what it offered. Greatest of locations. Chinese restaurant was average at best and pricy for offering. Needs work for international audience I would highly recommend the Westin Tokyo Hotel for international guest. Overall it is a 5 Star facility. Rick
This is the best hotel i ever stay in means of the services that offered by the staffs. Since this is my first visit to Japan, Tokyo, I was quite unsure that I would did allright as people told be that Japan could be difficult as mostly japanese aren't speaking in english and taxi are so expensive that you have to travel mostly by train or subways which directions and ...

i wasn't really attracted by Tokyo, people in there seems under huge pressure and all the places are tiny.
Tokyo has been one of my favourite cities around the world. Fashion there is really updated and modern.
Great Shopping at low currency at the moments, excellent services from most restaurants with great food.
Pros: - No haggling - Japanese are always straight to the point - They mind their own business - I personally thinks that Tokyo is a very safe place to visit - Clean - Easy to travel around with Bus / Public Transport - IC Card is very convenient Cons: - We really think that they can include more benches for tourists - Having hard time locating restroom / toilet in public area especially if you're foreigner who doesn't speak Japanese - My personal opinion, most Japanese shows their frown expressions and aren't very helpful or friendly if you are a foreigner and has no benefits or becoming their potential client.
Tokyo is an excellent city to visit. 5 days, at least, is recommended for staying here for the first time
Tokyo is an excellent city to visit. 5 days, at least, is recommended for staying here for the first time.
I loved this city. So much to do, and with the bullet train it is easy to get out and see more of Japan from this central hub.
I like to transportation systems especially Subways and Train that link and cover all areas even a bit confused in first time but I finally understand from day 2.
Tokyo is a vibrant city with around 13 million of residents. Having an application that could translate any languages to Japanese language is a must as most of the local peoples having a very limited English conversation.
Great city so you have to make your traveling day more than 5 days in order to explore all the attractions and spots.
Tokyo is a lovely place to visit. There are loads of things to do in Tokyo; sigthseeing, food, amusement (Disneyland) and parks etc.
If you have more time, you should spend a couple of days to take short tours to outside Tokyo like Izu, Atami, Karuizawa, Nagano, etc.
One of the best cities in the world I have visited. Great food and nice and cool weather during after October until March where you can occasionally get to see snow in the beginning of the year.
Must try foods: Chanko Nabe (Sumo Hotpot) - incredibly delicious, unexpected gem Okonomiyaki Izakaya foods - meat skewers Sushi and Sashimi - incredibly fresh and tasty Over-rated foods: Ramen - most we had weren't all that spectacular; almost similar to the ones at ramen champion in Singapore
I can never get enough of Tokyo. I will usually visit (and re visit) the 7 main areas: Shibuya, Harajuku (including Meiji Shrine), Omote-sando (in one day); Shinjuku (it merits a day by itself); Osiage, Asakusa Shrine and Sumida River cruise ending at Ginza.
As a capital city of Ja[an, Tokyo is most popolous metropolis. Unlimited choice of shopping, entertainment, culture and dining.
Amazing city, bustling with life no matter day or not. Every station in Tokyo is like a whole different world.
I like Tokyo for shopping and dining. I bought nice coats, cosmetics and chocolates. I like so much.
Lovely country. Lovely people. They are so polite and I fall in love with japan. Awesome country indeed! I will surely come again!
Tokyo is a very clean and friendly city. It's easy to go around as the transport system is very efficient.
Great City To Travel. The people are very friendly and helpful indeed. Well connected by train, underground train and high speed train
Tokyo is one of the most famous cities in the world and it is a metropolitan city. It is very clean and vibrant, filled with all the Japanese passions.
Very bit, modern, clean and safe. Plenty to see and do, subways excellent and reasonable price. Surprisingly, Tourists can get by with basic English.
good for family vacations. good food! some of the inhabitant don't really mind tourist that visit their country.
Plan your trips and places you want to visit. Purchase the card which you can use for riding the trains and buses.
I have been to Tokyo numerous times and it is one place that I always look forward to returning. Food is great whether it's a small ramen shop or a more upmarket teppanyaki dinner as the quality of food is always consistently good.
