Where to stay in Reading
Reading hotels & accommodations

We only stayed one night at the Malmaison, but it was a pleasant stay. We asked for a quiet room as it is located between two music bars and we didn't really hear a thing. It was a week night however and Reading is a fairly sleepy town, so it wasn't exactly bustling, and we were very happy to get a good night sleep after a long haul flight into the UK. Some people c...

Stayed here during Reading festival. We had a car so it was easy to get there and back and in to the town centre. However there was a shuttle bus provided by the hotel for festival goers at a reasonable price. Our room had a fridge and microwave- brilliant for a snack on returning late at night. It was obviously a very busy time but staff were very helpful and efficie...

After having to cancel our previous booking at another Reading hotel, at 7pm, because of inaccurate facilities advertised ,we found the ibis Styles Reading Oxford Road. All the staff were super. Informative on our arrival, and at all other times. The hotel rooms offered were clean very quiet and well equipped. All staff , we felt, were concerned for our welfare and cou...

What more can I say. Probably the friendliest welcome I have ever received... then the room was priced right and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. The biggest plus was that it was a 3-5 min walk from the main station in Reading. It may well be a more pleasant (cost for cost with the hotels in central London) and cheaper overnight option for Heathrow than stayin...

The apartment was clean, cozy and comfortable like a home away from home. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was fully equipped and comes with washer/dryer. Caution that the stairs was steep and quite a climb to the top floor with big baggages. Everything else was perfect except for the tiny issue on the toilet flush. It was attended to quickly by Debra 😍 and thanks for tha...

Good location but lack of service and maintenance. At the first night we checked in the hotel, the concierge didn't help us to take the baggagies from the rood to the hotel lobby (there is a 10 steps stairs at least) The hitter (which installed under the wooden floor) in the hotel room was out of order, we had to ask the staff provide us a portable hitter. Cannot ...

Really nice staff and really nice food, however expensive compared to eating out in town. Shame the weather was not better as the outside area next to the river looked lovely. Enjoyed the leisure facilities, especially not having to locate loose change for the lockers as they are code locked. Location wise not brilliant as not walkable to the city centre but a £6-7 ...

These are unstaffed apartments. Our apartment had two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en suite. It was spacious and very clean and tidy, with nice, fresh, modern décor and furnishings. There were also those complementary nice touches that you get in hotels: coffee, tea, milk, juice- and also shower gel, shampoo, and soaps

Walked from Reading to here and just had one night here. We had a great price as it was a Sunday night. Room was lovely . Everything in the hotel based on Colonial India. Great breakfast , waiter was great. It kept me going on my 24 mile walk to Abingdon. Would stay here again.

The Parking was a decider for me in booking. Ticked all my boxes for convenience. The Owners are really lovely. My room was warm and clean with plenty of towels. I had a large en suite with tea making facilities and tv. My weekend breakfast was bigger than I’d have at home so no complaints. I’d stay again.

I stayed here for a week while on a business trip to Reading. I liked the location and size of the apartment. Also, the kitchen was furnished enough for my needs. However, the mattress was worn out and the pillows were very limp. I requested for a replacement but was given additional limp pillows instead. The main let down was the lack of response from the apartment m...

Fantastic location and place to stay. Located on a busy street with easy access to basically anything in Reading town. The only thing I’m not happy about was someone triggered the smoke detector in my floor and a lady came to knock on my door questioning if I smoke in the room although my not a smoker . I wouldn’t mind if she asked politely instead of sounded like accu...

We rented out the apartment for 2 nights and it was the first time we've been to Reading. The booking staff was efficient and helpful and they even sent me a reminder email just to ensure if i've received all the information i needed. The bathroom is stocked with basic needs and towels.
