"This spontaneous trip to Batangas was indeed a great escape from the urban life. The Farm is located at Lipa. It was clearly a short drive from Manila but getting inside is like being in an alternate universe where birds are chirping, peacocks are walking around, and green is the dominant color. We arrived earlier than the check-in time and we huddled at the Alive! Restaurant for lunch. They serve the "good" in the food. The menu is mainly comprised of vegan recipes yet the taste is satisfying, it will make you forget about meat. It's the only restaurant inside The Farm and there are no nearby restaurants in the area. Price is actually steep but ingredients are guaranteed freshly-picked. I appreciated that the staff are courteous and friendly despite the slow pacing of service. Our stay includes a free afternoon snack and breakfast. The Farm also offers detox packages depending on personal needs."

"Acuatico Beach Resort is one of the hardest resorts to book in Laiya, Batangas. They seem to be always fully booked so it was very lucky that I got a room during the days I wanted to stay there (it was the last room too!). It is definitely more expensive that most of the resorts in the area but you get what you pay for - great rooms, WiFi everywhere, friendly and accommodating staff, and I think the best infinity pool in the city."

"Found this budget accommodation last minute when we decided to stay for the night in Batangas rather than traveling back to Manila. At first, I must say i was a bit hesitant to book this for us (3adults and 2kids) since it seemed very inexpensive - may be a "motel" rather than an inn but based on the reviews, i booked it anyway. We took the room good for 6pax. It was very simple and clean - just what we needed for the night. The room for 6pax had 2 large metal-frame bunk beds as seen here that can comfortably fit 6. The T&B was very clean, too. While i booked an accommodation without breakfast, they offer affordable breakfast plates with unlimited barako coffee! Overall, we had a comfy stay. Very accommodating staff too. And what I admired most are 2 signages posted that read: "The Zillion Builders Pavilion the practical pro-family hotel alternative We refuse to support infidelity, promiscuity, underage sex, prostitution & illegal drugs""

"Cala Laiya may seem pricier upfront compared to other accommodations in Laiya, Batangas but once you stay there, you'll understand that you're getting great value for your money. There are only a couple of 'kubos' in the resort which gives it just the right amount of visitors so that it won't get crowded. Guests will have to pay additional 2000 php for food since there are no nearby establishments but the food served were worth more. View is spectacular with the lounge cabanas and scenic table setup under tamarind trees. Would definitely recommend and would LOVE to go back!"
