"I stayed at the Yard Hostel for two nights. They had just opened about a week earlier. One of the very noticeable highlights of staying here was the friendliness of the three staff members: Alessia, Carlo, and Salvo. These three all made the social atmosphere comfortable, friendly, and hospitable. They were also quite helpful finding locations (bus to Etna, bus to Pozzallo, bus to Taormina, places to eat/drink, etc.). As a result of the staff friendliness, I felt that the guests who were staying were also quite friendly. The bar in the hostel was a welcome luxury. The whole place was really spacious, clean, and well-kept. There were ample dishes and places to sit for anyone who needed them. The rooms, beds, lockers, and bathrooms were all clean. The little neighborhood that The Yard Hostel is located in is quaint, isolated from the main streets, and sometimes one can hear classical music being practiced in a way that isn't too loud or distracting. I hope I have a chance to stay again"
