Catania City Center hotels & accommodations

The 2 night managers were great, but service staff were unfriendly / rude. Breakfast lady never smiled, acted as if our presence was a nuisance. Older man who acts as day manager was very harsh with my sister in-law when she didn't wash a drinking glass, worse with my wife, shouting and gesturing angrily because she left a balcony door slightly ajar. But he would leave...

Very good location (only 5 minute walk from Catania Centrale railway station or walking distance from city center). You can reach here from the airport by Alibus (4 euro only). I spent one night and everything went well. Easy to find the main door even if no signals. Enjoyable conversation with the owner, kind and friendly. The only thing is that I not recommend the pl...

The staff buzzed us in through the imposing wooden doors, walking us through a large, friendly courtyard to the office for a quick and easy check-in process. The room itself was more of an efficiency apartment, with a full kitchen including stove and full size fridge. The bed was quite comfortable. Check out the beautiful outdoor seating and the bar upstairs!

very central in Catania city. Many shops and restaurants, cafe around the hotel. I think the building has more than 100 year history. Very historic one. Hotel room is very clean with classical style. We can see very beautiful volcano, Etna from the small balcony. It only takes 20 minutes by taxi from Catania airport to the hotel with Euro20. The staff is very frien...

It was really great! The room was very good and the breakfast too. A very modern place! A one of a kind elevator for the luggage 😂 however you must go up some stairs... I can really recommend this place. The only minus point was to find the place but just follow google maps and it’s exactly there. Watch out for a big door and on the side wall is a small sign “Exclusi...

First impression of the area is " rough" but we were wrong . Within 10 min walk there are the nice streets and up market shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel if you are in Catania for just a few nights.Great for the Alibus as Well (2min to busstop). Lovely breakfast , what else do you want?

This is a wonderful B & B, a five-star room with a six-star breakfast. Food is really top quality. The location is good for the city, although it can be noisy which is to be expected for the center or a city. Internet is spotty in places, but these are the only negatives for what is really a lovely place with wonderful generous hosts. Would return!

This was a very misleading hotel name. There was a decent bed, but no thought of breakfast included, and when I questioned the proprietor, he just shrugged his shoulders. The positive here was that they stayed up until 12:30am to recieve us. The downside was the very dicey neighborhood, there was no bathroom in one of the rooms, and no running water in the other room. ...

I have only excellent review on the rooms staff and location with 3 very important points that will improve a lot the guests stay: 1) The breakfast is a coupon to nearby cafe. It includes coffee of your choice , bottled pineapple or orange juice and a small sweet pastry. The staff at the cafe, were NOT nice and I suspect that this is due to their understanding that w...

The hotel is in a completely and exquisitely refurbished bulding in a busy and congested part of the city, with parking at a garage a few blocks away. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in making us feel at home. It is short walk from the railroad and bus stations, including the bus that goes up Mt. Etna, and is and easy walk from m...

Although at the lower end of the price range for hotels in Sicily's second city, the Agathae offers comfort, charm and a certain elegance emanating from the fine nineteenth century building in which it is situated. Located right in the historical city centre, next to the main street Via Etnea. Small and traditional, but rooms are large and clean. Very fast wireless internet. Nothing too fancy, but ...

this is a good hotel offering value for money if you want to stay in or near the city centre, being less than 10 minutes walk from the piazza duomo (cathedral square). it stands on one side of a large square intersecting with the via etnae, the main thoroughfare. the square is busy throughout the day and hotel stands next to a mcdonalds which is extremely popular with ...

a very well renovated b&b, with nice colorful design inside, a delightful breakfast room and cozy bedrooms. it’s in fact inside a modernized apartment with several bedrooms, each seemingly with a private bathroom, located exceptionally convenient – just a short walking distance from the main square/ streets and all main crossings, also a bus stop for the airport bus i...

The service was excellent. The owner was very friendly, helpful and extremely polite (I had a key accident on the street door around 4 am and the owner was very kind even if he was sleeping) . The room was large and it had a private bathroom. Very good breakfast spread in the morning. I strongly reccomended this place.

The Gattopardo is almost on the main Via Etnea and five minutes walk from the main historical sights. It describes itself as 'not a hotel' and offers no food or facilities beyond a room (most en suite). But what rooms! We had a four poster bed, the lobby was decorated with antiques and the room adjoining reception could have come from some grand palazzo. A good choice ...
For the price, the Loft is great. It have kitchen with a small terrase on the back side, kitchen are limited only for breakfast, since there are no coffee machine except there is only for making expresso, so we are not complaining. Bed is a bit to small for couple. Host is very friendly, eventough we have a bit hard time since they don't really speak english. The hos...

Hotel is well located close to centre of Catania. Room was comfy, clean, nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast spread was very good. I wish the bathroom had a proper shower though; it had a hand held shower above the bath. Wifi also wasn't very reliable, it kept cutting out and having to log on again.

Al Duomo is a nice B&B. It has small rooms, which have high ceilings. It is ok for a 2 or 3 star B&B, but is not luxurious at all. It's beds are ok, and linen is ok. This hotel is very close to everything in Catania. I loved how outside everything looks antique but when you get inside the hotel it is amazing, everything is modern, the room is very classy and elegant.
